But these are candles. Shouldn't the glass be heat resistant without the glass exploding?
@Ninjapants2376 жыл бұрын
Ramune Glass Heat resistant, sure, but not THAT much. Boiling water is a lot hotter than wax and a small candle fire. You can put liquid wax all over your skin and it would be warm. Boiling water burns the tissue. There is a large difference here.

A cute idea is to use stencils with glass etching medium. I’ve done it before on other glass items. It’s easy and turns very pretty.
@Ginam39394 жыл бұрын
I do something similar for several years. Instead of pouring boiling water inside the jars, I boil the jars in a pot and use as many as I have to make new candles. I buy the wicks, place then in the middle of the a jar. I then layer each scent but I keep the scents similar within the same jar. Fruity scents in one/ baked goods in another. I use my left over jars for these so those don’t go to waste. I also save certain ones for my warmers. Usually the smaller candles that don’t have too much wax. Another way to reuse the wax in your warmers is to add a few drops of essential oils. Do this once the scent is already gone. Now your reusing the wax and extending its life. I think I’ll try it this way in the video next time. It seems more time consuming though but it won’t hurt to try. I loved her idea of reusing the jars for bathroom items. I may do that as well. I’m happy I watched this video! I love new ideas. I hate wasting anything. I mostly buy Yankee candles. We all know how expensive those can be.
@thepinkflamingostrikesagai73197 жыл бұрын
I do this too BUT I never thought of the trick with the boiling water in the jar. I like it. And the only way to make this any simpler is if you had somebody else do it for you.
@autumnbray87906 жыл бұрын
THE PINK FLAMINGO STRIKES AGAIN!! Actually the way to make this simpler is to pop the jars in the freezer for 15 minutes and the wax pops right out and you can throw the jars in the dishwasher. Its WAY less time, WAY less messy, WAY less dangerous and won’t compromise the scent like this method does.
@1genevieve25 жыл бұрын
@@autumnbray8790 I don't particularly like the idea of putting the jars in the dishwasher - you must make sure you have every little piece of wax out of the jar or you're asking for huge problems when wax starts to clog your dishwasher drain!
