I just found you. I am a brand new crocheter. I haven't even crocheted anything yet. I've just done swatches of basic stitches. I've been watching one particular channel and the teacher is very good. But, speaking only for myself, as good as she was, I wanted to check out other channels. You are fabulous! I understand what your saying and doing and I can easily follow. I am therefore going to depend on this video, follow I think #3, and make this a baby blanket in light blue. I'm so excited, I can't tell you! I can manage any of these three double crochet versions while I follow along with you. I can't thank you enough. I've subscribed, thumbs up and will get notifications. I'm so excited that something was shown and explained in such a way that it finally clicked in my mind and I can progress! I'm looking forward to watching your videos first and foremost! Thank you ever so much. If u read this, do you have a video on how to crochet a bobble as a border to a knitted blanket?

You are just the sweetest! Thank you so much for commenting! You made my day! I am sharing a link to my video, which could be the border you are looking for! Let me know if you have any questions and thank you for subscribing! Hugs 🥰💖 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpu1pIWDq6aVoMU

Thank You !! You’re a great teacher and explained everything so beautifully !! I have a quick question… I tried your first method in the round and it doesn’t look the same… am I doing something wrong ? Do you only get that look in flat crochet ?
@SparklyOneАй бұрын
I think you could do it in the round for sure. You would just have to make sure you have an even number of stitches 🧶😜

Really enjoyed seeing the 3 HDC variations. Its a lovely, versatile stitch. I'm new to crochet and am amazed at the different looks that can be achieved just by using the back loops and/or adding the slip stitch. It may not look 'easy' but you break it down so it looks doable. Thank you for this teaching tutorial.

Thank you for your awesome videos 😉 can you please tell me the name of the light pink yarn. Is seems like it is a thick yarn. I love it. Thank you 💕
@SparklyOne4 жыл бұрын
Hi JoAnne! Thank you so much! Unfortunately, the yarn was leftover from another project, so I have no idea which brand it is. It is defintely a thicker yarn than a worsted weight 4. Happy crocheting! xoxo

Hi! Great video I need help with a swatch pattern, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but maybe you can help me. I am doing alternating rows of half double crochet and single crochet and they always end up slanted, I guess its like a trapezoid. It drives me nuts because the first two I did were perfect squares and now they all slant and I don’t know how to keep it from doing that. Thank you!!
@SparklyOne3 жыл бұрын
Make sure to ch 1 at the end of the SC row and ch 3 at the end of the DC row. Also, don’t forget to make your stitch in the stitch under those chains at the beginning of the rows. Hope that makes sense 🤪🙌🏻🥰

What yarn are you using in this tutorial? It’s gorgeous! And I love pink!
@SparklyOne5 жыл бұрын
Hi Melissa, the light pink yarn was taken from the Bernat Pop "Lipstick on your collar" skein, the other two were taken from a Lion Brand Mandala skein called "Unicorn". Hope that helps! Thanks for commenting! Yay for Pink! It's my favorite color, too! 💖😍🙌

Just make sure to loosen up on the tension. I know it’s ha d to do, but it will be so much more rewarding 😘💖 You can also use a larger hook. That should help 👍🏻😁
