I saw them 4 times back in the 70s, so much fun live and Russell is so hot.

Their two American brothers found more success in the UK than in the USA.

They kept the same ‘personalities’ with one brother playing the keyboards (Ron Mael) with little expression and the other, the singer (Russell Mael) having much more of a flamboyant stage presence. The keyboardist’s personality was ‘mocked’ by Paul McCartney in the clip for “Coming Up” where Paul plays all the musicians (save for the two singers done by Linda). And in that he has a small moustache as he plays the keyboards like Ron Mael

I would recommend finding the performance of "Get In the Swing" from the show that the Bay City Rollers hosted. It's a pretty great performance with Russell barefoot and in short shorts.

as an old punk , who only really likes original punk, this song is absolutely outstanding , i see some are claiming its a take off from split enz, but Sparks were unique , the cover that Siouxsie and the banshees did was pretty good as well, the drum beat is exceptional

Quite comical ,it’s a cross between trans version of mick nagger David Bowie and split endz it’s really off off broadway in an interesting way lol. Was that kind enough ? Not one of my faves but as always we don’t all have the same taste in music. So glad you cut Garry glitter off. Gotta love the 70’s though xoxo
