When my game goes through a slump. I always refer back to easiest swing and the 6 fundamentals. I go to the range and reset myself. I then go to the course and always take one club more than I think on my approaches to greens. It always brings me back to control and tension free and surprisingly long. Love the content.

Hi Sean, I love your videos! You’ve helped my game so much. My issue is I can make a nice big turn back with my lead foot off the ground, but the turn forward is often a disaster. I usually pull or slice the ball because I feel like I’m turning forward with my trail shoulder and finishing with my weight on my trail foot. Can you explain how to turn forward properly or do a video on that? I don’t know if I should use my lead leg or trail leg to get my weight onto the lead foot. I practice the SLX drill daily but I rarely make a good forward swing on the golf course. Thank you!

Great information very well presented. Thanks Sean! May I place some emphasis on one point you make that every golfer will find useful and may be golf- changing for some? That is your comment that one turns from and to the target! NOT the ball! Becoming “ball bound,” which, by the way, is a very natural result of modern teaching, is the cause of so much tension that results in poor golf and injuries. When we understand that we swing the club to the target, not to the ball, we are on the way to a free and easy swing that creates more energy with less effort, and saves our backs and joints from the harmful effects of tension and strain. Don’t hit the ball; propel the ball to the target with nature’s we most efficient energy generator- a swing!

If you have a flat inside takeaway then you’re not turning your body as discussed. Watch the video again and pay attention to where Sean’s arms are, against the sides of his body on the takeaway. If you do this you cannot get flat and inside.

If that’s where the club wants to swing and your shots are better carry on - Brian (ES founder) always said the ball doesn’t know where you took the club back! We believe too many “methods” put too much emphasis on this and force golfers to swing in a contrived way rather than their own natural way

I can’t seem to hit the ball solidly… usually topping it half the time. I make better contact with stiff left arm or else I over swing but it feels super stiff and hard to rotate as much without bending my arm more. Any suggestions for us hackers that over swing and can’t hit the ball consistently?
@Easiestswing

Have a go at a practice session with a half sized backswing but full follow through with all of it at half speed then rid yourself of the tension. I guarantee the ball won’t go half distance - be prepared to be shocked with the results. Good luck 👍

so it's okay if you bend your left arm at the top of the swing?
@Easiestswing

Yes indeed - a straight left arm at the top has been a myth for too long that causes unnecessary strain and tension. You don’t have to deliberately bend it just remove any intention to keep it straight and just relax it. If it bends a little that’s fine. Be prepared to be surprised at the results!

@Easiestswing
@Easiestswing Ай бұрын
The heel will lift in response to the turn, it is not forced to lift. Equally it should not be forced to remain planted to the ground. Done correctly, you should sense a release of tension from the restriction of having it planted.

The first stage of fixing that is “awareness” so you are on the right track - by following our videos and learning to trust some additional movement you can start to build your swing back up. Your number one enemy is tension so bit by bit look to reduce tension. Good luck 👍

You appear to stay quite upright though out the swing, so I guess you’re raising and lowering your arms and matching your timing…a bit like KZbin’s Paul Wilson’s staying ’loose’ with the wrists, which works wonderfully when I’m able to trust it…
