I remember as a child always feeling chills, and tears in my eyes when I heard this one. The first song that ever did that to me. It was very overwhelming, and I didn't watch the movie for a long time because of it. Now that I'm older, I love that feeling. A damn good song, and your rendition of it is just as good. Beautiful. I'm glad I gave this a listen.

WOW!...1st off I’m so in love with the sound of a Native American flute though I wasn’t expecting my body to have the reaction that it did going in watching this..IF AT ALL really but when you started playing I had chills run from head to toe suddenly! As the video went on just listening to you play while also seeing the creativity put into making this video too had me fully hooked. In the end I was left with endless chills and tearful eyes. Thank you for that I truly love the feeling of when something can actually touch my soul in such way as you did. I thought it was so beautiful, I LOVE your style, you’re a one of kind artist 💗

What an excellent performance, Jonny! Really enjoyed listening to this. Do you sell the backing track for this song? If not, any suggestion where I can buy it from? Thanks!
@JonnyLipford2 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry but I do not have a license for distribution of this backing track. I do sell the sheet music. Some of my students have had success with finding karaoke or instrumental tracks on music selling platforms for free. Sometimes the arrangement has to be modified slightly to fit what you can find. www.jonnylipfordmusic.com/collections/native-american-flute-sheet-music/products/colors-of-the-wind-sheet-music-for-native-american-flute-pdf

Absolutely amazing was just curious I have a drone flute and a regular flute in F sharp is it possible to play this song was curious what you're flute is
@JonnyLipford4 жыл бұрын
My flute is in the key of G, so you'll be a little lower than me. You can play this song with a drone, though, I wouldn't play the whole thing with a drone flute. I had thought about doing that at one point. There are sections where you're going to be resting on the 5th or resolving on the root and in those phrases, I would use the drone, otherwise I would play it as a solo flute. I have work to do with the drone flute(s) in the way of tutorials. More to come later this year!
@dragonnsky42084 жыл бұрын
Hi John, Thank you for your sharing. I guess you play in the key of G. I can play this song in the key of A. But it doesnt work well in D or #F. I know the flute tableture of this song. In which key or keys do you recommend us to play it? Regards.
@JonnyLipford4 жыл бұрын
This song can be played in any key as a solo. There are a few upper register notes which would make it more difficult on some flutes. I played this flute in a G while many others choose to play it in A. The tablature shows the finger diagrams, too, so you could easily play this song on any flute. :)
