The last couple names are the names of Gladiators of the House of Batiatus who debuted in Vengeance and died in the Episodes when they rescue Neavia from the Mines and are being hunted through the Forrest by Glaber'sTtribune Marcus and his Roman soldiers.

I love the attention and love this show gives to minor or secondary characters like this. Fortis, for example. He may only have one episode with dialogue, but it's a part of the story and he's remembered among the rest of them. It really stands as a testament to all lives holding equal value. Cara-Marie Askew his death bothered me on the same level of Gannicus. Both killed by cowards who barely did anything in their last fights. At least Crixus died fairly quickly with a beheading but frigging Gannicus was crucified in pretty much good health and was left to die.

Try to put yourself in their place, just think about how your life would be if you were born a slave, not have any choice besides your masters, being told what to do in every aspect of your 'life', worse than that, being torn from freedom and being forced to fight for what little remains of yourself, seeing your family paid for what you thought was right, as happened to Spartacus. If history has taught as anything is that you can't kill an idea, what Spartacus did, It never ceases to exist. I could drag this on forever but my point is every man needs a purpose in his life, would you rather die under your masters or fight for what you believe? Forget the hunger, thirst everything else, a man is never too weak or wounded to fight, If his cause is greater than his own.

I'm no expert in these things, but I feel like they did such a good job of developing the characters in a relatively short amount of seasons / episodes. Crixus went from being motivated by vain self-glory to motivated by love. The self-indulgent Gannicus became willing to give all for the cause. And Spartacus went from being impulsive, fueled by rage, to a master tactician and motivator, albeit still fueled by rage but also by the inherent worth of his fellow people. And of course they're all three absolute badasses in their own rights. I truly don't know which I love more...

Crixus was the biggest part of Spartacus becoming the fighter he did along with Onomeaus. The beating he gave Spartacus in the arena early in Blood and Sand was the wake up call he needed that while he may have been one of the tougher soldiers he still had so much more to learn at elite Gladiator level (like going from checkers to chess) and set him on the path to finding his true potential- which in the end exceeded that of Crixus himself (in my opinion, and only very narrowly).

Of all the inspirational speeches Andy Whitfield and Liam Nelson gave as 'Spartacus, from his first speech after the massacre at Batiatus' house; to the speech after Mira's death,' this speech has got to be THE most riveting and moving! Even now, after the show has ended, I STILL get goosebumps watching it. Although Crixus' character brought it upon himself due to his arrogance and refusal to listen, he was a champion who went out fighting for something he believed in. Awesome tribute.
