"The race is the celebration of all the work you put in." Wise words from the world's best!

I did one Spartan race and my friends and coworkers didn’t hear the end of it for months. This guy is world champ and his coworkers didn’t even know it... truly a humble dude.

I never would have thought that someone could work full time, have a family, and train on an elite level. That's an impressive amount of dedication.

Yes..but also shows if you train smart and don't try to rush your progress i can achieve the goals over time =)

Training smarter, not necessarily harder, has a lot of truth to it.

Gary Hart He didn’t put much distance per week in. He had such an extensive background in running that his body had the endurance, so all he had to do was sharpen the strength and skill aspect and he dominated.

Love that he said that his kids should follow their dreams. Not his, not his wife’s, not his friends. But their dreams. What a great dad and role model.

"The race is just the celebration of hard work." Hobie is one of the most determined and disiplined persons you will ever know. His personality, demeanor, friendliness, and humility are just as strong. We miss him down here in Greater Zion.

The race isn't the test. The test is getting up early in the morning and going to work and coming home and working out when you are tired and you don't know to. Looking at 2 meals and saying I will eat this one, because its healthier. That's the work. You show up at the race, that's the just the celebration of all the work you done. The longer you have to go at it, it just means the reward at the end would be that much better. - Hobie Call, Spartan Race World Champion 13:01

He inspired me to start training! He seems like such a good guy; a WONDERFUL family man! I remember he and his wife did a race whilst tethered together!

2:13 The true power in this shot is not the fact of how early it is while he's training, but the moment when you notice the path that he has worn in the ground from repeatedly doing bucket carries around the perimeter of his yard.

Can he beat Albon?
@benigifford Жыл бұрын
They've both beaten eachother. Albon is a true goat of OCR as well. The reason Hobie is the "godfather of OCR" is because he was at the center of the development of the professional/elite athletic side of Spartan in its infancy. He was the first legit athlete to take it seriously and from his dominance was issued the challenge that brought Hunter Mcyntire, Isaiah Vidal, David Magida, Ryan Atkins, and several other of the OG's to Spartan and made up an actual competitive, drama-filled racing circuit.
