"Feeling Orange but blue sometime" is my all time favorite by Ledisi! That Latin beat is awesome. Her vocals are absolutely tuned to perfection...a true instrument!! She's got what it takes ...and then some...and MORE!!! Damn the Beyonce image if ya can't hold a note! Give me Miss Beautiful Brown Sugar Ledisi that can blow with the Divas ANY day to hear some REAL singing!!!!!!

Have mercy, this lady's acoustic jazz interpretation of this song is beautifully simplistic yet refreshing!

Some of us...a lot of us "grown, sexy and sophisticated" are still hungry for the soulful songtress that KNOWS how to do jazz and standards WELL! She wears the long red sequenced gown as we sip champagne in the few supper clubs we have left. YES!!! Take us there, Ledisi! We're ready!!!

Why do the 'industry' dont push true talent. Real talent like Ledisi and many others it boggles my mind. They play garbage on the radio.

In a sentimental mood I can see the stars come through my room While your loving attitude Is like a flame that lights the gloom On the wings of every kiss Drifts a melody so strange and sweet In this sentimental bliss You make my paradise complete Rose petals seem to fall It's all I could dream to call you mine My heart's a lighter thing Since you made this night a thing divine In a sentimental mood I'm within a world so heavenly For I never dreamt that you'd be loving sentimental me

No one has ever come close to singing this song as such. Not a single flaw! Vocal control is impeccable! Ledisi reminds me of Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye. They both did jazz VERY well BEFORE soul and R&B, but it was just that that got them their fame. Ledisi IS jazz. Bring it on back girl! I'll let her slide on the R&B tip...as long as she doesn't go too far out and come out with a Hip Hop cd!!!! LOL!!
