I make beer can chicken all the time. Secret. Preheat 3 burners 15 min. turn center burner off. Pour off 1/3 of beer. Fill beer canon or set beer can upright in gizmo for beer can chicken, Set either on a grill safe pan. Put seasoned chicken on a grill canon or the beer can gizmo. About 45 min to 1 hr. Check breast 165 temp You could try this for 2 burner grill..turn one burner off. Trying your recipe for something different...looks amazing! My beer can chicken is browned, falling off the bone & moist!

I was going to make beer can chicken on the bbq tomorrow but I think I will try this spatchcock chicken but put the chicken in a pan and add a little beer to the pan. Do you think that will work? I want to get a slight beer flavor and smoke flavor on the chicken.
@scottnra

Lillian Russo you can sure try it. I really don't think much beer flavor gets into the bird from steam. My opinion is to drink the beer, grill the bird on Grill Grates and let the smoke work it's magic. :-) You can check grill grates out here if you don't have a set yet: glnk.io/zpp4/scott-gregggregg Thank you for watching! Well if you cook your beer can chicken in your smoker then you won't burn your chicken when you smoke it. Because if you burn your beer can chicken then you don't know how to cook. Also avocado oil works good also.

Mustang Heath Lol, I don't burn my chicken either way. I just think BCC is not as good as spatchcock, and easier to deal with. Just my opinion of course. Most people that I have seen posting pics on FB of their BCC looks awful. Not all of course. Thank you for watching! I’ve never understood people’s obsession with drunk chicken. 1. That beer can has paint all over it. 2. Chickens won’t fit upright on a lot of grills. 3. The chicken isn’t being pressure cooked on the inside…it has a hole in the top. 4. Last but not least. It’s just a bad waste of good beer. Lol I work hard for my beer and dead chickens can’t have any a single one.

Looks like last weeks chicken to me. Your grill marks on that chicken are from a dirty grill. A clean grill would leave RED grill marks on chicken or any other meat. Don't believe me, then use an appropriate pan to soak you dirty grates overnight then clean them the next day with a soap and a stainless steel pad. Your next cooks grill marks will be red, not black.

Hydromaestro "Hates" is not entirely accurate. More like a deep loathing with bias and scoffing amusement. lol. It's just silly to think that your going to magically make steam at temperatures under 165* inside a cool chicken when everywhere else on the planet it takes about 200* before liquid starts to steam haha. I'll bet more people get sick or ruin more chicken with BCC than anything else. The funniest part is when these guys put their burnt ass chickens on a FB group and we are all supposed to hit the "Like" button and tell them how great it looks. :-) Thank you for watching. Everybody does not have a wood fired cooker. Most people have a gasser. This can be cooked on any grill or smoker. You will like what I have coming. BOTH Camp Chef Woodwind AND Treager Pro Series 22 reviews and comparison videos are in the works now. I love my pellet grills, and my offset. Don't worry, your in the right place. :-) THere area already a bunch of others featuring the Royall Tailgater pellet grill and the offset.
