I learned how to crappie fish from my dad just the way you are doing it. They didn't make jig poles back in the mid 70's so we made our own out of a canepole, metal clothes hanger for guides and some electrical tape. I have been hook on slip corking ever since. Nice work.

I do whatever it takes, it is growing on me. I like the motor, esp being able to switch it between boats. Look at the new one with improved spotlock. They are less than 1/3 the price of others.

That is Jones creek unless you run an airboat or jet boat there is no access unless the water is high.
