@@Vi-Tai Thanks! It is just holding a hook to the braided line which is making a loop to connect my spoon. Not intriguing fish’s bite purpose, purely for just making an assist hook process.

@@Amberjack123 oh wow, i understand. What are the benefits of braid vs metal hook loop? Also, Lake trout are coming around the channel's deep water in the morning. I caught a 37" one yesterday near the harbor mouth

@ Congratulations on your catch for LT! I think there may be no difference between braided loop and metal loop. Just I like to use Japanese hook and most case they don’t have a metal loop. So I need to make a loop to connect spoon that’s the reason I have to make assist hook. Pros is you can use super sharp Japanese hook cons is you need to make it.
