I am against Sega’s new game streaming service if it’s truly streaming and not download. When Hurricane Helene hit me, I lost power for an entire week and so did most places in my area. Lara Croft Tomb Raider on steam saved me. I would come home from a 2:30pm-11:30pm work shift to no power, no heat, no AC, nothing. I would go to a gas station for pre-packaged food, take it home and eat it while playing Lara Croft. I had never played the game before but I did it out of boredom and I honestly had a lot of fun with it!!! I would charge my laptop at work, and then play the game when I get home. The battery would last about an hour and 15 minutes, but it gave me something tot take my mind off the doom and gloom that was the hurricane

To be fair, I think Sega fans will be as well simply for the fact their main franchise (Sonic) is one that heavily supports modding and I can't imagine a single one of them would be willing to discard earlier titles for ones that've allowed their community to grow. I'm not against a SubService as long as real access (download or physical) is viable because a lot services just don't interest me.

Right so my 2 cents. Nintendo reuses things before they make new things. And they like things to mean what they’re supposed to. The C has always stood for camera. Whether it’s the camera buttons (N64) or camera stick (game cube) or the camera button singular (Wii nunchuck). And its placement tells me it’s not a main gaming button. All that says to me it’s a camera button and it’s probably for a built in camera. Nintendo makes consoles in 2s and the second is a refined version with new bells and whistles.

I can't imagine a scenario where 3rd party companies making Xboxes would be successful. The first party hardware struggles to sell as is, and that's with Microsoft subsidizing it AND developing the OS themselves. If 3rd parties do it, they'll (presumably) have to pay MS to license the OS, they wont be making money on software sales, and they'd be backing a brand that is struggling to keep market share, let alone actually gain any. We'll just end up with a diluted market of an already struggling product where every option that isn't coming directly from MS is substantially more expensive since the profit will have to come exclusively from the hardware itself, in addition to the cost to manufacturers for licensing the OS. At the prices that these hypothetical consoles will demand, you can get a PC that will also play all the Xbox games in addition to everything else a PC does. I just cannot imagine there is enough of a market for multiple, premium, more expensive versions of an already struggling console all competing with one another. Another baffling move from Xbox. Jesus. I don't understand how they're always making such absurd decisions. They have unlimited money, an absurd amount of beloved IPs they keep dormant, a ton of beloved game studios filled with talent, and a loud, dedicated fanbase constantly telling them exactly what they want. It genuinely feels like they suck on purpose. There is no way their leadership is just that incompetent and tonedeaf. If they were to actually go through with the 3rd party hardware thing, it wouldn't be to expand or appeal to untapped potential demographics. It'd be because they don't want to make hardware anymore, but don't want the Xbox brand to be seen as a failure. A cop out to avoid the inevitable SEGA comparisons. At the end of the day, Microsoft has always been a software company. It wouldn't be surprising to see Xbox be folded into that same structure after decades of them failing to compete with everyone else. Would still be a huge bummer though. And a massive blow to consumers on other platforms.
@ExodusF1nale21 күн бұрын
That 3rd party "xbox" systems seems kinda pointless to me. You're going to end up with so many skews where it's going to force people to start learning and looking at hardware specs and then comparing that to the games coming out . . . isn't that just a PC at that point? In fact, it would seem like the "We have PC at home" meme.

Once it's on the internet there is nothing Nintendo can do about stuff like this

nintendo will not do anything, just like they havent when sm64 was decompiled. its been 2 years about?
@rushikakkirala94821 күн бұрын
@@astro837 It's not, and neither was Ryujinx. Nintendo's rich and powerful enough to stop these projects even if legally they shouldn't be able to

I believe it’s a cast button so it will become like the Wii U in a way so the game will use both the tv and the systems screen for dual screens or it will just wirelessly cast the game to the tv via the docking station I’m just guessing take it with a grain of salt

This is why Sega delisted so many games lately. You have to pay a subscription fee to play them now. Terrible

Sega, late to the party only to upset consumers and lose money. Classic.

A Netflix styled service would include first party games and a big selection of third party games. To keep it from going stale, they would need to cycle those third party games, just like Netflix does with movies.

As one of the seven people who had Sega Channel, I approve of any effort to reestablish it to its former glory.

One thing I never understood is why do people expect pro systems to be with in $100 of the base system. I always thought it would make more since if the pro systems were made using the best tech available, and was at minimum 3 times the price of the base system. Why not charge $2K-$2.5K and use a 3nm tsmc Soc? Double the Ram to 32GB? 4TB-6TB built in?

Just like the blue LED ring around the home button on the switch. Always speculations to use of the lighting but never came to fruition.
