He should have identified himself on the radio as a member of a non-exist unit, for example if their team only has units alpha through delta he could chime in as echo. Would have given his people a chance to figure something out.

The pilot had pretty much lost contact with all ground, we lost two choppers and he was the last one in the air. Was great to watch and hear over radios the communication of the pilot, acre still works in dead so i could hear the pilot talking was hilarious to listen to.

Most likely there is heavy limitation on communication in this server. Like you can't just go into another channel and talk to them without the other person hearing you. Possibly only a radio channel and direct communication channel. Also since this guy was complying with him, then that means in this server you only get one life, so if you die, you'd spend the rest of the game in spectator mode, just like when he died, all the others started cheering or something. Possibly those people already died and were watching him do his thing.

There are code words that are a sign of duress. Sometimes they test it with the guards and they forgot about it. "All right, you can go." "Hey my wife is selling candles, do you want any?" "No thanks?" "Really, are you sure you don't want any CANDLES, CANDLES steve!" "Fine, if you're really that set on it I'll take some."

Loved the complete lack of morels the prisoner showed...sure, here's a pilot to kill and a few million rubles worth of Helicopter to blow up lol. As a side note, Dslyecxi, did you intend to kill the prisoner regardless of what transpired, possibly as you're playing an insurgent, or simply because he was trying to escape? 10/10 - would watch again. Obviously this is a very rare turn of events, so I am unaware on the protocall, but what would you 'guide' your members to do in this situation? Comply or protect the helicopter? My instinct would have been to protect the extraction chopper (but I accept that I don't know fully what the context was).

If he left his radio on transmit while you were talking and threatening, would your audio go over his radio? Aren't there military protocols to prevent this? Like, if you are being coerced, can you signal that by the way you transmit or only let your side carry green smoke or something? Did you take away his map? Maybe he could have marked his map that he was a hostage.

You need to do a SERE course for people in ShackTac. Or at least Radio Security course. The closest I ever got to being this ninja, while playing over at UO, was when I trailed a guy and through his radio chatter found out that he was Alpha actual and then I shot him, took his radio and asked for LOCSTAT of his forces pretending to be 2IC.

Had he actually played his role, he would have never agreed to assist to the radio call in the first place... or used proper radio procedures to give away the duress situation, or any number of other possible methods to prevent being a useful tool to the enemy. But this was more fun to watch :) I'd have marked on the map "LZ - I'm being forced to call you in, kill everything at my location." Its as fair as the rebel knowing his radio protocols and command structure.
