Speak out, show up! Protesting the Kenya Finance Bill; what to keep in mind

Reject, not amend!
Even if the Finance Bill passed its second reading on Thursday the 20th of June, conversations and protests will continue because the message is clear: this Finance Bill is hurting us more than it’s helping us.
Here’s a quick recap of what I feel we can keep in mind as we collectively call for change. Granted, there’s so much more that can be mentioned and highlighted so please feel free to make additions to some of the points I’ve outlined, such as the names of people and organizations that are leading in this conversation, the playlist (it’ll make sense when you watch the video) and the momentum needed to sustain.
I’ll also separately talk about previous protests and movements in our country and beyond, that have had lasting change.

Well said. I am a Baby Boomer and a mother of the millennium and Genz's and I am very proud of this movement that the young people have boldly taken. I sometimes would wonder what country is this that I will leave my children and grandchildren in. I had lost hope and was in a state of total hopelessness. I was seeing all the corruption, poverty, unequal distribution of wealth, the down trodden poor, our dirty city, estates etc.. and my spirit crushed. The attitude that is exhuded by those in authority was of " *mu ta do"* ?? My prayer and believe is that the final conclusion of this campaign will make Kenya a country where we will all love to live and be part of. My prayers for all of you. May the almighty God guide you and lead you.
