Malcolm X was one of the greatest daees in the 21st century. Millions of people converted to Islam after reading his biography or hearing about his heroic deeds. He wasn’t a sheikh nor did he some successful PR machine behind him. Malcom X actually visited Gaza in 1954 and he wrote an article about the dangers of Zionism. He lived in the era of segregation and was monitored by the FBI. Dawah is not simply about having access to a pool of non Muslims to try to convert. The Muslims daees also have a duty ( with whatever means they are capable of) to stand firmly with other Muslims around the world and share portion of their pain. Personally, I can not accept that the average Muslims lose their basic jobs or Muslim kids are referred to extremist panels all the while Mufti makes some tweets not even directly mentioning the perpetrators of the genocide. I don’t believe much will happen to him or that Dawah will simply be stopped because Mufi menk mentions the word Israel. This is another case of some brothers mystifying what Dawah is and suggesting there is some great maslaha in one of the most prominent Muslims failing to call out a genocidal state by name. Even if he did face sanctions or restrictions related to travel, the Dawah is not going to a stop nor is he any different to the other Muslims who have faced a such bans and restrictions. It is 2024, guys, Dawah can be given and delivered anywhere and everywhere from any device. What’s to say the layman now stop mentioning Israel and they cite mufti menk as an example?

Bro Hajji you need to call out Hamza tzrotiz he was wrong, in what he said. he was fear mongering and playing and strategic dawah without explaining what the strategic dawah is. @@justsaying7805 Na it doesn't really answer the question simply because a lot of these speakers start off super conservative, but then they just melt down. Not only that, but a big tendency amongst all scholars, not just Saudis is that we're good at telling people how religious they should be but when a crisis happens and our rulers or whoever does something UnIslamic, we just keep our mouths shut and do nothing about it. I'm from Turkey and we have the same issue. The point is, we accuse the Najdis of bending to the rulers but even the sufi or liberal groups do the exact same thing. For example, Erdogan tried to enitiate a policy to try and reconcile with Assad, which is against Islam by the way. Why didn't the scholars say anything about it? Similarly, in 2020 I think or was it 2018, I can't remember Turkey and America made an agreement for the Americans to set up a base in Sanliurfa. Now, America is amongst the biggest killers of Muslimeen around the gloab. Why then did the scholars not say anything? One always has to be careful.

Fair point Mufti Menk does not need to use his own words. He can simply retweet and share articles by pro-Palestine non-muslim journalists and activists like Norman Finkelstein in support of Palestine. Furthermore Dawah is not dependent on one individual nor will it stop, if they no longer have the same reach. The Speakers from the 1990's with huge profiles were replaced by a new generation in the 2000's.This generation will be replaced by others in the future.

Brother Haji, with all the good that Mufti Menk bought to the Ummah through his works, I believe it is not worth the risk at all for him to get Shadow banned, Deplatformed or even have his income hurt. Mufti menki isn’t a scholar he’s a speaker and social media imam. A lot of these so called imams I call them celebrity imams the ones that go to White House and purple house and interfaith gatherings and water down the religion to please those who will never be pleased with them. Now of course as Muslims we must have upright moral character and be kind and just to everyone regardless of who they are, that’s not the problem but the problem comes when so many ppl are deifying these so called imams that are essentially directly or indirectly misguiding Muslims because of the way they speak and how they explain things about the religion. Islam speaks for itself that’s why the best Muslims end up being those who revert to Islam ppl who weren’t born into Muslim families because they are sincere and actually see the religion rather than a lot of these ppl. Mufti menk Yassir qadhi Omar Suleiman etc all of these celebrity “imams” that change rules to make the religion more pleasing to those who will never be pleased with us regardless
