JBL Xtreme and JBL charge 2 || extreme bass

We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning kzbin.infoUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.

+Error 404 i would defenetly get the Xtreme! Even if you connect 2 ue boom 2 they wont sound better than the Xtreme, just louder. I don't think it is a good idea to connect 2 "different" sounding speakers! Go with the JBL ;)

+Joni you have to take off the cover under the speaker with a screwdriver. But before you can take off the whole cover you have to open the zipper and take off the 3 screws inside! Than you unscrew all the screws you can see ;)

+Blur Icy Thank you!! If the JBL Xtreme is to Expensive look for the Klipsch Kmc 3 it cost's just a little bit more than 200$. And it sounds much better! But to make it portable you need 8 D- batteries!

I think the grill i blocking 20-30 percent of sound because of splash proofing.... and mine on some songs when full volume speakers do blop blop sound ( when its not enough power for amp to drive speakers which are trying to play strong bass sound ) so had to tune it up a little bit in my phone walkman player 400hz slide to -3, another thing it has 10000mah battery but some people do say that it last only 5 hours on full volume (where 60 - 70% is more than enough volume for indoor use), same as jbl charge 3 - 5 hours on full volume, but xtreme is twice powerfull and was only 30 pounds (45 usd) more than charge 3 (149 GBP), going back to the topic it has 10000mAh battery which is 2 x 7.4v 5000mAh battery pack, since i dont think that 7.4v would be enough to drive 40w amp, the battery's voltage is coupled meaning its 14.8v with 5000mAh, and thats why it last 5 hours, another thing that you wont be charging 7.4v battery with 19v 3A charger so thats my first theory, second theory is that it uses some kind of voltage stepper to step up the voltage, from 7.4v which drains power and leaves us with 5 hours of playtime :)

So the battery issue is for real. Went to the nearest JBL importer I could find and had a chat with one of the technicians. Apparently the issue has been acknowledged by JBL but the number of returns are not significant enough for a recall. I was however able to swap my Xtreme out for a new one. No questions asked.

That's what i thought, but on the JBL spec sheet it only lists the 2 main drivers and the passive radiators.
