After tutoring a student for his Chinese subject, I can understand few words/phrases when Darren was speaking Mandarin. Kane was trying to speak but the tone was different and that's the hardest part when you try to speak Mandarin. I wish we could hear Darren speak Mandarin more often in the future

I’ve been studying Korean and Chinese since I was around 14. (I’m not Asian, by the way. And I’m in my 20s now.) And I can easily say that I could understand most of what Darren said even without subtitles, even though I’m not necessarily fluent in Chinese. I can understand Chinese when I hear it more than I can speak it and write it.
