The bizarre thing he said in public about Bannon, while it goes to a set of morals first, was a stupid thing to say. I'm listening to this while I'm writing this, and he just said that donnie doesn't know how to hire people-- that gives Tony a point back. If I were considering working for anybody as well known as donnie, I'd do some checking on his background.... and donnie has plenty of *public* background to look at! It's also stupid, (especially at this time before an election), to put down Biden in any way! Putting down Biden makes donnie look a little better. *We don't need that!* Dang, why does he keep putting Biden's looks down?! Who cares what Biden looks like?! Irrelevant and petty! It's really minor, but I seriously wonder about people who worked in a place like the Whitehouse and don't know how to pronounce a high profile figure's name like "Kushner!" And good grief, the woman explained how to pronounce her name, it's "CALM-a-law," not "KAM-a-la." (I think my IQ goes down after listening to Tony.) As an excellent communicator he might be very misleading, listen to his public interventions when he was campaining for Trump
@TheGuinever9 ай бұрын
Which is why Trump wanted him. Trump attaches himself to people who have what Donald lacks. This is why he worships Putin, Rocket Man and other despots. I have always been attracted to Scaramucci's "working class, personable, fun-to-be-around guys personality. Plus, he can take responsibility for his bad choices. Trump is constitutionally incapable of doing the same.

Yes - Scaramucci "Walked the Walk & Talked the Talk", then he got "booted" after 11 days... I don't have warm & fuzzy feelings towards him, but I think he's knowledgeable in the way that the ghost writer for Trump's book is, meaning he's seen things from inside the White House. Eleven days definitely doesn't make him an expect, of course. That being said, I very much enjoy listening to him. Thank you for having him as your guest.

Lashings of Botox, hair dye and teeth whitener - all lead me to suspect he is hiding a lot more than just his age. As for articulate - so is any good used car salesman. Caveat emptor!

That being the case, why was he willing to sell his soul to Trump? He never gives an adequate explanation. He knew full well he was hitching his wagon to a monster.

@@jeanneganrude8549 I switched off, I couldn't listen anymore. He is charismatic and interesting but such an easy ride of an interview and the lack of of a concept of the normal every day reality for normal people was infuriating. In the world of often petty partizan American media that he usually inhabits and that we're all subjected to if we follow this topic, this was a refreshing, informed and concise take on the current situation. Scaramucci is a very articulate guy.

I think this was one of the best so far, what Anthony said about the social contract was very good and really showed what motivates people who vote for Trump or brexit, and if Alistair is listening it’s something he should tell Starmer everyday. Look at what it took to make society fairer in terms of economic distribution after the Great Depression, people get to the point that they know they’re doing a deal with the devil and just don’t care.

Chapeau! One of the most interesting and informative interviews I've been able to follow in recent months. As someone who was born in Berlin very shortly after WW II and who has learned to always observe and try to understand the background of history and stories behind it (e.g. Lawrence of Arabia and the book about it), I have heard so many confirmations for my thoughts and also for my current fears here today as I rarely do otherwise. I wholeheartedly wish Anthony Scaramucci success in his current support of the Democratic campaign team.

@christinethomas67639 ай бұрын
Nothing new? Not for what magic trick Rory Stewart was looking for. What I found refreshingly 'new' was the open recognition that far from being 'ignorant gammon', 'the left behind and downright abandoned' knew what and who they were voting for. Someone whose experience of the American dream they could identify with in full knowledge that it would never be on Clinton's menu never mind being delivered. No takeaways for them.
