It is an analogy but it is also reality. Trump does have a gold-plated bathtub. Character wise he would Let it ever draining run and run all year long. I think Trump derives pleasure from waste, making him feel more powerful and he is a junkie for that feeling.

@@4thumbsdown I think he got caught up in the whirlpool that surrounded Trump as the campaign had progressed. Followed by an incomprehensible amount of Trump's antics, the appointments made, the people sacked, the people who left. Scaramucci must have felt trapped as it began dawning on him how awful, and stupid Trump really was as president. Perhaps he'd seen Trump do lots of stupid stuff, but dismissed it from his mind. Everyone was caught up in the seemingly endless horrors of Trump's earliest days.

It is very hard to forgive someone who got into the Trump camp. He was one of the better ones, which is not a very high bar, and he is definitely very smart and honest compared to the usual but the fact that he was willing to jump on board with a scam artist, and miss the birth of his child because his power ambitions is a very hard to dismiss stain in him. Apparently he was perfectly OK with a structure built on dishonesty and only grew a spine after he was fired. It's still a good thing but I'd prefer someone who was honest from the beginning. I prefer him to be a political commentator because he is definitely very knowledgeable, smart and seems very non-partisan.
@Alphacentauri819

@@blb1954he became that though. So, tell me, the ‘American dream’, which he achieved he is penalized for…what earns respect? Should a person not go that path if they can, in order to appease your anger at the capitalist system you live in? Is it jealousy? What is it? It’s a weird irony to tout the United States as a place to pursue such dreams…yet if a person achieves them, they are ridiculed? I myself am not driven to that definition of “success”…the riches etc. I also don’t love the way that some achieve that wealth. However, it is a system we live in. You can vote for changes, get in office, do something if you don’t like it. I just wonder if you’ve analyzed why you categorize him in a simple way. He’s from a working class and propelled himself somewhere else. Should he have refused the opportunities?

Gus Jackson , What? Disaster? Which part is the disaster? The media’s handling of Trump, maybe? The deep states constant attempts to remove him or prevent him from being in office? The never Trumper‘s constant miss representation of Trump’s agenda? Just to be clear, most people believe they are doing much better under this president than any president over the last 30 years. The average man can see that Trump actually gives a damn about them. Trump has a high likelihood of being reelected in an electoral landslide. Go back and look at the election in 1984 as a reference.

After watching the Bannon interview, I love hearing all of these different perspectives and how they slot together. On surface, what they're saying seems to contradict each other, but each interview is like one piece in the big puzzle, and these interviews, taken together, fills in each other's blind spots and you really start to see what's going on.

enjoy watching all this series of interviews and all I can still come away with is my question...over 70 million people voted for Trump and what does that say about a culture? All these intelligent, articulate people telling how flawed Trump was on so many levels. Or is it all levels? Yet due to power everyone is willing to sell a bit of their soul to partake in the journey. To go on sorry, but his assessment of the press being a pillar and how that has been tarnished is really really critical. Media has become a catering to ideology and not fact. That is really really important going forward. Because it is a pillar of democracy. If no one is intelligent enough to see through the BS there is no hope. Welcome fascism or dictatorship.

To me, this guy seems to know the game. Interesting to hear, what sounds like, a surprisingly candid analysis from one of the actual players. @@bwagner1800 Well first of all, I live in YOUR bubble. We all do. Unlike lefties, I get news from many areas. How would you know where I get news? I'm here for one thing, watching you watch an opportunist and all the lefties loving him...now that he trashes Trump. lol. Secondly, Brian Wagner's poll of MAGA hats should be tried by pollsters. It's only slightly less dumb than their methods. Did you ever think that people don't like to be attacked for wearing them? Open minded, caring lefties who attack people for a hat. That's many of you and if you don't participate, you certainly like those that do. Who's extremist here? So far, you think a large segment of the population is far right and militant, and a hat poll is an indication of support... oh and that a country on a massive economic rebound, is in distress. lol Just stop while you're behind.
