Praying for you and in Jesus name I declare you WILL come to faith in Jesus and recieve salvation and eternal life!🙏✝️❤️‍🔥☦️ because Jesus promised us in the Bible that ALL who come to him and ask of Him, He will answer and NEVER reject them and never abandon them!❤️‍🔥 so if you have asked, the answer is on the way!🙂 I was like you and Jesus Christ revealed Himself to me☺️ I had gone faaaar from God, but I heard some Christian testimonies and decided to try, maybe God will answer me too. So I prayed ‘at Jesus’ feet’ for probably 3 months every evening for God to heal me from depression and to reveal Himself to me, and ONE DAY suddenly He did answer fully, 100%. Not only was I fully healed, but completely transformed as a person, I becamed RENEWED like a little girl, I have never looked back since🙏✝️🥰 it’s been over 16 years since then.

If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me." Jn. 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." I confess I am, perhaps one of several Christians, who prayed for Ayan. Several years ago when listening to her I sensed a profound sadness in her. I prayed for her salvation and, she would experience the joy of Jesus. I have been urged to pray for her a couple of times since then. I am jubilant at hearing and seeing the change in her. BIBLE = BeLIEve In Big LIE Eternally. The God in the bible with the Capital G is almost similar in practice with the great Roman Empire, British Colonalists, American and Western Imperialists. Every book is written by man however inspired and visionary it may be. As far as I am concerned God is natural like every organic living being, however the practices of God in the bible is totally psychopathic, genocidical, barbaric, bloody in practising removal of foreskins of a eight day old baby, killing of women, children and babies and yet keeping the virgins for themselves, hypocritical, prejudice, killing masses of people depending on his whim and fancy. This God is just a bogey man created by very evil and clever people to justify the evilness that they are doing. God is created by man in his own image. BIBLE = Bible Intervention By the LORDS of England. Otherwise why do you think they keep spreading the gospel. Jesus had no geneanology he did not even have a rightful father. He was away from the age of 12 to 30 spending much of his time looking for his father. He was in India learning under the Brahma but he went against their teaching on the caste system, and the untouchables. Jesus taught that all men are equal. The Brahmins wanted to kill him him and Jesus escaped to the Buddhist Ashram to learn from Buddha disciples. Jesus practised samadhi to fake death on the crosd and eventually went to India again and lived to a ripeful age of 120 years old. There was a tomb in India in his name.(kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpTcaYBqi9-IY7s) There was also a scroll of Jesus written in the extinct Pali language. The scroll was translated to the Tibetan language and remain hidden in one of the Tibetan temple in Lhasa. Should you believe in the God in the bible and worship the mass murderer or believe in Satan whom killed only 10 people and with the permission from God. The bible was the political and marketing handbook for the Roman Empire. The gospel means good news of another military victory. Could you imagine these culturally, "civilised" and technologically advanced civilizations went round the world enslaving and colonising numerous nations and ignoring their pride, pain, suffering b and poverty clearly point to a God that is beyond belief. I believe China in the last 50 years had done more for African countries than what the Western Colonisers did in the last 500 years. Many people called China an evil and dictatorial empire but they failed to mention their GOD is monotheistic so who is more dictator. China or their GOD. US Dollars is the world reserved currency, hence USA can literally print as much US Dollars as they want. But the Chinese and other nations had to toil and sacrifice blood, sweats, and tears to earn the US Dollars in order to buy USA goods. How America did not collapse even as at today is because of her military might. At the end of the days all these Americans and Western powers, except Austria and Hungary, are just a bunch of looters, pirates, bullies, hypocrites and legalised liars just like the God in the bible. Their god is; Gold/money, Oil/resources/minerals, Drugs/diseases. Sorry I digressed. God is a major part of the problem.

@@demogorgon4244Any such thing as we could know of as being 'god', seeks to serve you. I would say, so personally, so long as you wish, seek, the survival and thriving of creation and of human life. Then, God, serves you 'christians' would have you believe, that their prayers are sufficient, every is for God, to do. Of course most don't dare to speak about, let alone to pray for 'deliverance from this evil. They say, one can not serve two masters, eg, 'Give to Caesar what is Caesars', and, 'Why make just the outside clean?', 'If one serves two masters, one will love one and hate the other'. So quite how they think their lives, devoid of any action, word, or thought even, to be delivered,... .., in yet they will when pushed, say, 'Oh that's alright, it's in God's hands, etc ' They may have convinced themselves, each other, but you say, have they convinced you? What chance is there that they have convinced God? Well, that's an interesting question? In short, they are ridiculous. One might add, it's as well God is given to be merciful, but you have to ask to what point,.. ..., towards the, cowardly, self deceivers? There's a test of one's belief if ever there was one! Now for what may we pray for? Buckets of money, as with certain brands of "evangelicals"? That God should do everything for a person, yourself, or your group, so, 'church'? Should do everything for mankind? Notice the inverted commas are there for the reason of saying, so called, christian, so called, church. We may pray for fortitude, patience, understanding, steadfastness, and protection. Only WHEN we have engaged with God, in ALL sincerity. You think perhaps, something other than, will be sufficient? Tell me, tell ALL about that.

When you have come to the end yourself, and most will, we will call out to a higher unknown... it is human nature. God made us with a need to seek Him, a void of some sort, and we do seek Him. However, plenty gets misdirected by the lures of the world, seeking comfort, its charm, pleasures and money. Only ONE can satisfy the emptiness... call on Him and He will find you... Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Thank U Lord Jesus for revealing Your salvation to Ayaan!!!! I prayed for u, Ayaan, to come to know Christ after listening to you on Hoover Institution. I too experienced the dark night of the soul before surrendering to Christ after my existential philosophy classes brought me to despair over how to view the world - so I totally agree w/u that your depression came from the lack of spirituality. I ❤️how your brain works in how u explain deep things so simply -sometimes u remind me of CS Lewis- he too thought like u did when he first sat in church as a believer - so look forward to meeting u one day, little sister! ❤

The advantage of atheism is that it is just a negative- in a debate it is much easier to attack another position but much harder to defend or offer a better alternative. If you have ever talked to a negative person, nothing you do can make them happy or grateful

The distinguishing factor of atheism is a lack of reason. It takes no reasoning to lack belief. A rock can lack belief and reason. Yet atheists make a conclusion that a god does not exist. There are atheists that have reasons, but the ones that claim they don't need a reason didn't reason themselves into atheism.

Also, the atheist feels they achieve victory by simply declaring there is no evidence. Ignoring the Laws of Nature, DNA, the unfolding intelligible universe and more. All reasonable evidence that many feel points toward an Intelligent Source for our universe.

Hi Glen, having heard the interview through I am so struck by it and see it as a valuable resource in our understanding of where we are as Christians in the west at the moment. The great value of the interview was not only your wonderful questions and the insights that they drew but Ayaan’s powerful testimony which comes from someone who understands atheists and where they are coming from and therefore offers valuable insights about them. I also very much appreciate her eirenic approach to atheism which is built on friendship and the importance of listening to them and trying to understand not just debate with them. It is getting behind their arguments to see the true source. This is a wonderful help for the church and I am so grateful for it. May God bless the work you and others are doing in this. Mark

Atheism does lead to intelligent questioning of belief systems. Sadly Abrahamic religions fall apart in questioning. Eastern religions hold the higher aspirations of human- freedom, choice, equality, coexistence, nonviolence, inner knowledge and women's rights as Divine Feminine. As atheist it is wise to seek deep to align our higher Self to the pathway within of joy & Light.

You, prayed for her salvation. You who on the whole have been silent about '----' for how long? How strange and completely 'back to front': that you should imagine you could 'pray for her'. I think perhaps you mean you 'pray': for yourselves, absorb Ayaan into some sort of submission to your ways of thinking, to be thus relieved, and never to have to look at yourselves. It is written (this to aggravate -------s, who believe what is written, no matter it contradicts itself at every other page, is the 'truth') that when they were about to stone to death the adulteress, h said, he who is without sin, throw te first stone, faced with one who knows the truth, they scurried off. Then to the lady, you are absolved of your size go and sin no more. What did that mean? Go away, keep your head down, lest these evil hypocrites cause you more trouble. As it was then, STILL the SAME TODAY

@@dejenyalawessonno. But you have to be a Christian (surrender to God) to experience the fullness of His love in Christ, which is what this commenter and Ayaan were referencing. If you reject Christ you reject God’s ultimate love offering, ie you are not surrendered to His love.

@@dejenyalawesson I never said there weren’t non Christian’s more loving than me. I don’t say this to be rude, but you’re genuinely missing the point. The idea is not about being loving, it’s about surrendering to someone else’s love. There’s a big difference. Although I do think if we surrender to God’s love we become more loving than we used to be

I never doubt she would eventually emerge to do the will of our Father... her journey was well scripted, as it was for Paul: once called Saul. Be blessed beautiful spirit. May God, our Lord continues to shine His Light upon you. Safe journey.

I loved Aayan as a fellow african migrant in Netherlands and now she is my sister in Christ. How cool is that. Loved her intelligence and tenacity and her ability to master the ‘darned’ hard dutch language in record time and even do higher academic pursuit. I barely passed my automobile theory… but now she is running with the bible too’ I too came from a tribal world… born in exile in Uganda as. Tutsi kid only to flee to kenya, tanzania and then UK. I too was blown away by western formula and before that the Tanzanian formula by Nyerere. But the West was flabbergasting as i entered UK in 1985 at the height of ‘free Nelson Mandela’!! I was so impressed these people cared ….. in time i saw all eroding into selfhate where iam a big fan of Pim Fortuin and later Thierry Baudet above our Aayaan… I could go on and on… love you Sis❤

Some miss the most useful point here, apologia. Before she was able to receive forgiveness and redemption, she had to witness or experience another way and suffer greatly for it. That precipitated a look around for something better (psychology, alcohol, drugs) and so she found Christianity, then found how well Christianity merges with her conscience and with life. Only then could she move from her childhood teaching of SUBMISSION to the Christian SURRENDER that forgives, heals and transforms broken souls into children adopted into God's family by Him thru Jesus' sacrifice on behalf of all currently on planet Earth. Here we are given by her a strong rationale for approaching secular "Christians" with the whole truth of John, "I am the way the truth and the life; no man [or woman] comes to the [heavenly] Father but by me."

G'day Glen and Ayaan, you are making numerous generalisations that don’t align with political reality. Yes, political reality is annoying as it upsets the apple cart of narrative. I've yet to see that Aayan has become a true believer Christian and embraced the authoritarianism that is inherent in Abrahamic monotheism and understood the theology and politics of the Christian version of Abrahamic monotheism. Having been a professional liberal social democratic politician in the Netherlands, Aayan has to be aware that the foundational identifier of the West is Liberal Social Democracy, a broad coalition of people inclusive of many religions and philosophies, and that Liberal Social Democracy is way more successful than John Locke’s much more limited Liberal Democracy. As an Anglican cleric, Glen would have done well in Locke's democracy as Glen would have been in the white male Protestant elite but many of the rest of us who make up the modern West would not have been tolerated as Locke made clear that he would not tolerate Muslims and Atheists and heretic Christians like Catholics. It takes more than Christianity to make our Western counties successful and prosperous. It takes Liberal Social Democracy. The political reality is that despite Russia being a majority Christian country where the church now has great political influence, neither Glen or Ayaan or I would ever dream of migrating there as it is now a Fascist dictatorship and one fully supported by its Christian church. I have not seen any evidence that Ayaan has abandoned Liberal Social Democracy for Christian authoritarianism. I have not seen any evidence that she is not using Liberal Social Democracy as her bulwark against Islamic totalitarianism. What I’m seeing and hearing is a clayton’s conversion. Just becoming a Christian will not cut it for Ayaan or anyone else. To live in a Western democratic country that, as Ayaan says, millions of people want to migrate to, requires Liberal Social Democracy using a Secular and Humanist mechanism to bring about moral and material progress. That is why millions of people want to migrate there. They are not lining up to migrate to Russia. The issue here with Christianity is that it can't be used successfully to practice the humanist moral values that are falsely claimed to be uniquely Christian in origin, as the inclusive politics of those moral values are diametrically opposed to the exclusive governing politics of Christianity which are inherently authoritarian and intolerant of others who are different and don't submit to the prevailing orthodoxy. Practicing inclusive moral values politically requires a politically inclusive governing framework and the most inclusive and successful political framework humans have devised for use across society is, despite its flaws, Liberal Social Democracy. Christianity does not supply this framework. Certainly, an individual can use belief in humanist values they think (incorrectly) are uniquely Christian, to lift themselves out of depression or alcoholism or domestic violence but to implement those values across pluralist society requires the inclusion that Liberal Social Democracy provides. So, what is it that you need Glen that only Christian authoritarianism can supply? What utility does Christian authoritarianism supply you with?

If we look at how, being a submissive and subservient is, as told in 1984, Winston broken in so many ways, spent his time in cafes, drinking victory gin, living like a rat. That's possibly the nearest allegory (right word) we have in literature. Further, he had lost, had had everything that could allow a person to be a human being, stripped from him. In yet at one point, does he cry, realising at some level he loves Big Brother, that which has destroyed him. Another allegory then.

Does your non-belief in elves "do" anything for you? Of course not. Does that mean we should call it "empty" and believe in elves? _Of course not!_ We don't have evidence of elves, so we don't know they exist, so we don't believe. Well I'm sorry, but non-belief in gods is exactly like that. It's not supposed to _do_ anything. It's just that we don't know gods exist, so we shouldn't believe in them! Instead, things like morality come from other places. Look up writers on ethics. Learn about the veil of ignorance. The most basic moral framework (limit the suffering of sentient beings, and promote their well-being) is honestly all that's needed to start out, since you can intuit _tons_ of basic stuff with that alone! I do think we need to be better as a society at providing communal events and spaces. Do we need to delude ourselves a god exists to have that? I sure hope not!

What a wonderful discussion. Thank you so much. One remark on what Ayaan said at 42:40 - I think Ayaan is mistaken in saying that no religion can compare with Islam that was founded on a Supreme Leader as in Iran. Roman Catholicism is in fact also founded on a Supreme Leader also referred to as Pontifex Maximus who is commonly called the Pope. He has supreme authority and power in that religious system.
