Lt. Gen Obuto Mamur Mete - Otuho Cultural Day, Nyakuron, Juba, South Sudan

The Otuho Cultural Event was held in Juba on 13th Nov. 2010. The occasion held to appreciate the appointment of Otuho into senior positions in the Government of South Sudan by President Salva Kiir Mayardit. The Otuho fired the first bullet in 1955 and and also participated fully in the liberation struggle as part of the SPLA.

When the Otuho people come together they will be strong but the problem is that we don't have leaders who can lead our Otuho community. All these present Otuho leaders care only about their greatness and interest but not the benefit of the Otuho people though they make noise in talking like people who care for the community. All we can hear is ATUBA, that exist only as a word in public speeches but in reality they are not for Otuho atuba. Why is Otuho community suffering a lot of division now than ever? Because these so called leaders go in secret to divide the Otuho people in the interest of other tribes so that they can get their rewards and build their families but not build Otuho. Where is Torit now that was great in Sudan not only South Sudan but Sudan? What happen now. Let us Otuho wake up from sleep and be the change we want not relying on the people who are not for Otuho greatness. Finally, I thank you for uploading such Otuho videos, they are very important for us to know our culture.
