It doesn't look like it was too deep where you were. Awesome fish running around. The water looks great for diving on this day. Liked the video.

Baracuda is the Great Uncle red snapper deep drop bait but it is also a favorite in the Bahamas for eating! We steak it up and fry them and they are awesome. Try it and you will join the dark side! Lol Love your vids especially when your lovely lady is taking part!

I have a question for you, do you ever eat the barracuda? I saw a recipe fo it in ceviche that looked awesome!
@SouthFloridaFishingChannel5 жыл бұрын
I have before. I thought it tasted great. But they stink so bad when you put them in the cooler it just ruins my mood... So now I avoid them. I'd rather eat some snapper =)

I love your fishing videos, but be careful out there! I wouldn't even think about going out in weather like that. Especially if I were a diver. Lightening, water and boats don't mix.

sweet vid bro im going out for mini season and taking the old gun maybe ill get lucky . how far did you go out ? and how deep ?
@SouthFloridaFishingChannel7 жыл бұрын
3 miles off the mainland. You have to be this far offshore to legally spearfish in the upper keys. Just drive around on the patch reefs in 10-20ft of water. Look for big coral heads, they are hard to miss. Even when driving fast. Then anchor upcurrent of the coral heads (25-50ft) and put a chum bag out. Wait 15-20 minutes or so while you put your gear on and jump in. Catch yourself some dinner!

Well, i know i'm being a bit too critical and i should probably just keep my opinions to myself, but i think the music should be secondary to the natural ambient sounds of the ocean. :)
@SouthFloridaFishingChannel7 жыл бұрын
I'm going to make a video just for you where I don't use any music at all. I'll do some hook n line fishing and some spearfishing so it'll be sounds of both above water and underwater. I will find a day for that next week sometime

Not to sh!t on your parade, but you might want to check up the keys spearfishing Regs. In Key Largo you need to be out of state waters and in 300ft of water, minimum!!!
@SouthFloridaFishingChannel7 жыл бұрын
The 300' rule only applies to the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park boundary. I spearfish 1-2 miles south of that boundary. I also stay the 3 miles away from mainland every time I spearfish. I have it all marked in my GPS. I already spoke w/ dive shops and FWC about it. Not breaking any rules here
@Lucky-xv7nl7 жыл бұрын
South Florida Fishing Channel 👍 Good job. The regulations could get a bit tricky sometimes. I figured letting you know would be a good idea, incase you didn't know. But I see that you are well informed. Keep it up.

literally the worst music I have ever heard. This is the shit they blast at Guatanamo to get prisoners to have mental breakdowns. Nails on chalkboard. Completely incroguous to the action displayed. For shame!!!! In all seriousness, the underwater sounds are quite soothing and novel for those of who cannot experience this daily. Natural sounds would suffice.

South Florida Fishing Channel either way is good but maybe add some music to the newer ones too, like maybe ever other vid so it's not overwhelming
