I don't know how I missed this Monday but better late than never. Have you thought about putting reflective fish stickers on the bottom of your boat? It works, and you can get cool ones from Bass Pro Shop in fish and squid shapes. We painted bait silhouettes on my buddy's boat and cobia definitely came to check them out. The stickers would be better. Another question, how does your friend have an unlimited grouper permit but your's is limited? That doesn't sound fair at all.

225's and unlimited are impossible to find anymore, they stopped giving them out forever ago so you have to buy one from someone or lease it. or inherit it. some 225's can't be sold. when the owner dies they die. They are good for "life" the unlimited permits are about 150k now I believe, they were about half that 5 years ago.

Unlimited snapper grouper not 100% but it’s like 100-150k for the license atleast no yellowtailer will make any money with the 225lb limit so they need that one. Also long range boats need it.
