I thought this game was supposed to be realistic? Ballistic vests seem to do nothing, and the sight picture is always steady.

It's arcadey with realistic elements, and armor isn't all that effective against bullets, true, but it does help against shrapnel. I feel like it used to be a little more hardcore but the devs wanted to expand the gameplay to a broader audience

@Sooperburrito Armor does help against bullets; it bruises you hard but prevents the bullet from hitting critical areas. Modern armor can stop 7.62 reliably. Basically, there should be bleeding if hit in non critical areas, death in critical areas, and nothing if the bullet is stopped by armor. Leg or arm meta might happen like in Tarkov, where they just shoot the limbs since the chest is bulletproof.

@@johncarl5505 sorry, I meant in the game armor isn't all that useful. Heavy armor might be able to tank an extra shot here and there but most players run light or no armor
