There’s just something about this picture that is so sad to me. The absolute fatigue, misery, and defeat in Adams face, in front of the beautiful, faded painting of what Dubai used to be. The overall bleak and melancholic music is salt on the wound. It really shows how everything went to hell in a hand basket in just three days. What really hurts is that this all could’ve been avoided if Walker just accepted that some things are out of his reach, and just stuck to his mission.

When I heard that dialogue for the first time it really hit me with the realization that not only was I a villain, but I had become a nigh-mythical apocalyptic threat to these people. I was The Devil and The Grim Reaper combined. For individuals who had survived Hell for so long, to be more scared of me than anything else? That man. Walker. Captain Martin Walker... He wasn't just a man whose obsession was to chase the Ghost of The Colonel by any means. He was the Angel of Death. He was something that nothing could have ever stopped, no ammont of fire or bullets would have stopped him, he would slaughter anyone and anything, 33rd or not, that dared stand in his path. The only thing that stopped him... was himself.
@sentinel85342 жыл бұрын
But that line from that 33rd commander... it was blood freezing. When the radioman was dead, I just wanted to flee the city at this point. And when Lugo died... I just wanted the 33rd to stop me... And all their efforts went into nothing, they couldn't manage to save anyone, even themselves. Their very last soldiers were waiting an endless night at the front of the tower, hoping that The Angel of Death would not come. I just wanted to drop all my weapons and just crawl to them begging for forgiveness... but it wasn't how it was supposed to end... And so... The Last Battle begun.

Modern Warfare was pathetic, it ignored every opportunity it could have taken to make a bold choice like Spec Ops The Line. There’s actually a video about this. Modern Warfare was too scared to let the player do anything immoral and be controversial. It just acted like it was and advertised itself as controversial...it was weak as hell. Because BLUFOR still had to be the good guys, they just used Russia as a prop to do all the warcrime shit which was weak as fuck too. I’m an American and i’m also a patriot, but i’m the kind of patriot that knows what my country really is. I don’t have an idealistic view of the US, I love it for what it actually is, not what many want to pretend it is. We are not good guys, because there are no good guys. You dont become the most powerful empire in the history of mankind by being ‘good guys’ and truly valuing freedom, justice, and doing the ‘right thing’.That’s not how things have ever worked, and they never will.

I just want to say something about this game and the message it’s trying to sent. It’s telling us what the horrors of war can do to a man it shows us all how walker change from a skilled professional soldier to a cold hearted insane murderer we see how his men change as well how they to went from professional and skilled to psychotic and murderous we also see how adams a heart warming man who cared for his team becomes someone else we see how he just doesn’t care about anything when they kept going deeper in the city and when Lugo died he just gives up he’s broken. We all see how bad war is and we know how much it can break a man. Even if walker squad was the best and elite they weren’t prepare to handle the horrors that be folded them when they enter the city and it just gotten worse when they kept going deeper and deeper in the the city when they should’ve just stop and turned back because sometimes there is always another choice and what’s important is that how you choose to make those choices and what effects they have one you and everyone else.

One thing that fucks me up in regards to this game, is that there are quite a few people who empathized with Walker when the game came out, in the sense of what he went through, how traumatized and mentally broken he became as a result of his environment during their mission in Dubai. As if he was the one that really suffered, as if he was a victim. Konrad tells Walker that it takes a strong man to deny what's right in front of him, but he was also talking to some of the players, too. There were people who really didn't realize just what Walker really did in that game.
@juliagoetiaАй бұрын
He *was* a victim. Maybe not *THE* victim, but a victim nonetheless. A victim of a cruel system that teaches young men that the only way to achieve self actualization is through the barrel of a gun. That you can be a hero by exercising violence against the "bad guys" and saving the day. Just sign your soul away to Uncle Sam and work to make the world more "orderly" and "safe". Protect your freedoms. Serve in a prestigious institution. Join a brotherhood devoted to an ideal higher than yourself. He was a product of the military industrial complex. He never wanted to be the villain, he genuinely wanted to help and make things better. But he was so horribly misguided. That's not to say he's blameless. He always had a choice, but he didn't make those choices in a vacuum. He was groomed for this. And he wasn't the only one.

TheEmerald1802 I figured it on my own 4 years ago, it's pretty simple you should start playing the top 3 strings only E,A n D .
