@@mr.bmt216a2 All I can say is that the old listings where removed, I updated the links to the listing that is still available. So if you want this model then I recommend you to buy it sooner than later :) The Quartz sold around 150 pieces last time I checked the removed listing before it was gone, and old listing for Auto was around 110 I believe. Quartz is more popular because of its thin dimension and being closer in style with the original watch it homages ;)

get the quartz version, its thinner..i habve 6.5” wrist too, it wore quite comfy. i can imagine the auto version would be thicker n it will raise the height upon wearing it..

That's a cool one. I will buy the automatic one, because i don't like the date window being so inside the dial. Please in your review wear it in outdoors lighting conditions, so that we have a good idea how it looks in natural light...

Thank you for the first impressions video. What is the build quality of the case/bracelet? I had to smoothen the bracelet on one of their watches in the past and that worked fine, obviously not a good solution with a gold-plated watch.

Indeed not possible to smoothen without loosing plating. However it is far less sharp on the inside now, seems like they have processed it this time. Its buildquality is not spectacular if you compare with 200 USD watches, but it good for the 90 USD it costs. The level of the brushing is top notch though!

Hey, I have just bought the vc222 homage but got problems with bracelet adjustment. Is there any Arrow symbol on the bracelet or any tricks so that I can adjust it to my arm? It should be that hard, but just spent 3 hours on it, dont wanna scratch it anymore :D I would be happy if you can answer it...

@@NowumXaverty hello buddy! Yes it can indeed be tricky without an arrow pointing which way 😅 But if you take a close look at the pin, on one side it is flush with the link and on the other it is seated deeper, put the tool pin inside the deep side of the pin and use a hammer if neccessary

Hey mate! Nice that you asked that question. Benefits of quartz = much thinner, wears better, set the time once and its always good to go, color matching date wheel, save some money and have a more accurate movement Benefits of auto = its cool and you can see the movement through the glass caseback, datewheel is better positioned on the dial, it has a seconds hand if you like to have it

I chose quartz because I liked this model to wear thin and close to my wrist, cleaner look with no seconds hand, I already have so many automatics that I switch between so having one less watch to set the time because the power reserve has run out is a benefit for me

Auto runs out of power if you dont use it for 42 hours, quartz only need a battery change every 3 years

I still love the 222 homage. Specht & Söhne cancelled my order after 3 weeks of waiting, no reason. It might be because of their finishing problems, don't know, they didn't communicate it. I really love the brand and the watch designs.. But now I fear order one of them again..

Have you tested the water resistance? I know it’s meant to be 50m but the screw down caseback and screw down crown should handle a few swims right?

Very good question that everyone need to know about! No, I never recommend you to dip any 50M watch in to water, especially never Gold Plated watch as it will loose its color. The water rating for watches is not practical value, but in controlled lab testing you can achieve a static* pressure rating of 5BAR (same as 50M). But in practical use you will accelerate your arm under water or jump in to water, which will in some cases exceed the pressure rating of 5BAR. For 30M its safe under rain. For 50M watches its safe to shower with or taking a bath with (don't recommend Gold Plated again). If you have 100M water resistance then I can recommend you to take swims with it, 200M should be safe at most hobby diving activities. If you are looking for 200M watch I will do a review of a divers style watch of 200M water resistance rating soon 😊

Oh I see know what you meant, because of screw down on both, no the sapphire crystal must also have a certain thickness to not crack under pressure, for this thin 50M watches I would not risk it

i bought the quartz version due to it being thinner n without seconds hand… just wish it was slightly smaller, like the real VC 222. My mom have the genuine 222 35mm in 2-toned, and wish they made a 2-toned. the gaps between the links while wearing this watch is kinda annoying…

But if you think this watch will be special to you for a long time then maybe its better to return it and get the updated one, or even better, a non gold plated. Because gold plating comes off watches when they scratch
