I watch Phil when I'm feeling down. It's impossible not to smile. People may not realize what a phenom he really is, and a technical perfectionist as a studio session man. He's so care-free he'll get up there and just wing something on good guitars and bad. I bet he'd show just as much enthusiasm if they gave him one of those Appalachian mountain liqour-jug-broom-handle 3-stringers.

Very good call. The output on those PAFs is astounding but there is extra clarity. I think this guitar's distinct sound is a combination of the pick ups, 1/2 inch thick spruce top and thin line hollow body construction (with no f holes). The design was unique among Gibson electrics.
