Oh that was fun. Alex is lovely and how nice her tattoo has so much meaning. You guys were busy and did all the highlights 💪🏻 we scooter it as the traffic is so hectic. Going to Ubud is so much quicker. I look crazy, long pants, long top and we take our own full face helmets, I get so hot! Been about 20 times I think. Booked for March next year (haven’t been for a ages) and for the first time flying during the day, yep those night flights are rough and I don’t sleep well anyway - like the princess and the pea I am. When my kids were young 12 and 14 we had 2 months there living near Canggu (before it got silly busy) with the locals, that was fun and scooters were our transport the whole time. Taught the kids too 😬 Thanks for sharing, glad you had fun 💕

Thanks so much Karen. You are a Bali expert! Flying during the day is perfect for a knitter! I am becoming more princess and the peaish as I get older. But then i think, it is high time I started taking better care of myself. xx

Sounds like a lovely trip, and I'm super excited that Alex came on! How did her jellyfish sting compare to say a blue bottle? Roughly the same? Bravo to your in-laws doing all that traveling. I hope I'm up to that kind of travel at their age.
@mostlyknitting3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I think it was a fair bit worse than a blue bottle - it hurt for a really long time. She was a trooper. And I agree - it was really lovely of my in-laws to do all that travelling. It is exhausting - we are really grateful they came.

It was pretty standard to need at least 3 or 4 changes of clothing for our son on a 30-minute road trip. He would get so car sick. I have always got car sick my whole life too, as does my husband. I took my son to an accupuncture and homeopathy clinic, and in about 6 weeks, they completely cured my son and I, and we have had no trouble since. My son was 5 at the time and is 38 now. So it has really worked well. My husband thought it was nonsense and a waste of time and money, so he wouldn't go with us. He still gets car sick. Maybe that is something Alex could look into.
@mostlyknitting3 ай бұрын
That is really interesting about what has worked for you and your son around this. I will definitely mention that to Alex. Thank you for sharing. :)

@mostlyknitting I imagine different acupuncturists may give different results. I think this guy really knew what he was doing. I've gone to others since for other reasons and not had luck. I suspect the homeopathy had a lot to do with it as well. We had drops we had to take under our tongue that tasted like vegetation gone bad in an alcohol base, but only a few drops at a time, so I felt the result was worth more than worrying about the very tiny bit of alcohol my son consumed. Back then a lot of children's medicines contained alcohol. But it really seemed that the two treatments worked hand in hand. I hope Alex can find help that works.
