for sure, that should be hardwired to a switch inside the shop, maybe a timer switch even. extension cords are strictly ghetto.

Can I make suggestion, mount clearance posts below the sign to avoid driving "under" the sign with a tooooo tall truck. Something like those yellow posts in parking garages. Just a thought to keep the beautiful sign from smacking damage. Looks too cool at night.

Excellent sir that is awesome. Only thing I'm worried about is that someone will reverse into it, like a delivery truck, which would be devastating my suggestion park a truck under it until you've decided on a permanent fix
