Great video, but you forgot to mention two things. 1.) If you blow up a mutant with dynamite or a bomb, their armor gets destroyed and you cannot retrieve it. 2.) How armor cycling works because it can be very annoying switching armor types. Great video though!

You can display the bone armor you put on your face on an armor rack and that means you can save +1 bone armor on the armor rack. I think it's good to know too

There is an easy way to get cloth(if you don't mind what can be described as an exploit). In the cave where the rope to the modern axe is(the cave he's in at 8:45) you can break the boxes for cloth. If you leave the cave and go back, all the boxes respawn, no need to save and exit. I tend to get a minimum of 200 cloth(250 - 300 if i've got food). Tip: there is a cave exit/entrance right by the area the boxes spawn so break the boxes(and optionally go get more dynamite and/or other loot by the modern axe) leave, 180, enter, repeat till satisfied.

@@Farket Hi Farket I did the math and the damage to the stealth armor on fire is 225%. Just in case here's how I counted it. We have the base 80 damage aka 100% to other armor so we times that with 2 so we get 160 which is 200% from the og damage and we still need 20 damage point to the armor to get to the 180 and 20 is a quarter out of 80 aka 25% which when added to the 200% aka 160 damage we get 225% aka 180 damage.

I like the cold suit! It was a nice goal to get it crafted lol. But I like it for 2 awesome reasons: 1) Negating cold damage ALSO works for being wet. Helps save on fire resources when your diving or crafting in the rain. 2) Armor Cycling: I learned quick about damaged armor being lost, which was a pain. Since armor prevents all hp damage, I prefer having 2ish pieces of bone armor "protecting" my harder to acquire mutant armor. Keep disposable armor at the top of the armor bar, as that gets damaged first (ie- put on disposable armor first, then better armor after; just make sure the top bars are bone armor or something). When the bone armor is gone, equip the cold suit to remove all armor, then reapply in the same order. This saves your mutant armor from being wasted so you have it for when you really need it. This is especially useful for protecting stealth armor, if that's your jam. 3) Additionally, if protected and just chilling in your base, I prefer the look of the cold suit lol.

I think the snow shoes are an okay item. Personally, I find their best use is just strafing enemies. Strafing isn’t usually that big a deal, but when going against multiple mutants and cannibals when you don’t really have anywhere to escape to your stamina suddenly becomes very valuable. When walking away from a Virginia’s 3 swing combo, you won’t be able to completely get out of the way. With the snow shoes however, you can easily stay walking and dodge all 3 hits. It’ll also let you keep closer to enemies than sprinting away does, so between their attacks you’ll have a better timeframe to hit them before they i-frame away from you.

Awesome video man didn’t know that about stealth armor, I just started playing. Btw a yard is about 5 or 6 centimeters short of a meter. Also I was watching an older video of yours and you said that fires can heat an entire custom home but I haven’t been able to get that working. Do you have any idea why?

I’ll keep trying different methods and if I find anything I’ll let ya know. It may also be that I’m on PlayStation and not PC ( I’m really new to this game so I don’t know that differences)

You forgot to mention the other incredibly useful quality of the snowshoes. They prevent you sinking an inch or so into the snow when you're wearing them. ;) Weird though, I'm sure when I played with a friend a lot that he was always running faster than me in the snow when he had snowshoes on and I didn't. Maybe not, or maybe they updated the game to remove that, because I'm talking a couple of years ago.

Ive mentioned this before and I think you even liked the comment, but you can combine armor with the backpack to bind it to the hotkeys, allowing you to instant equip armor without opening your bag whenever you want. Just a tip for the noobies.
