I remember playing this on my dad's PC when the sinkhole still had nothing but rocks at the bottom. Got it on PS4 the moment it came out and finished it there, but I just today got it going on my own PC! Great game with a great community in my experience.

Cowmen give me the most trouble in the wild. At base it's all fairly easy but even then a cowman can zoom past traps setting them off but avoiding the damage. Armsies are relatively slow, Virginia can be pretty aggressive but Ive noticed after a little damage they tend to become less relentless. Cowmen however rarely travel alone and can knock you down giving cannibals and other mutants time to rush you and give you a pounding before you're even fully set back up. Easy if near deep water though.

Another useful vid Farket, cheers. I don't have much trouble fighting Armsies and Virginias these days. I've got a good jump and dodge technique which works for me. But man I struggle against those masked cannibals. Didn't know why, but now makes sense with slightly elevated damage. And when there's five or six of them running round you... 🥺

the best thing you can do to deal with groups of cannibals is probably to get into the flow of kiting them and picking them off with bow headshots

Damage clamped system.. maybe it's a system to make blocking not so op due to increased damage overtime. Can't sit in a corner 24/7 blocking all attacks But the consecutive hit damage raise is interesting

sorry for that... most people are pretty chill, cooperative, and willing to help new players out but then there is the inevitable pack o' cunts like in every game... always set your game to private, you might not get to know new people but at least you're spared a whole lot of grief and frustration... you can turn off building destruction but Idk if that stops modding griefers, privating is definitely your safest bet; me and two of my mates had our approx. 80 athleticism 70 strength character erased by one petty loser that thought it funny to hack and lob infinite explosives around to permastun us until we all died... we never played online without privating after that.
