'Nightmare of Eden' is a very underrated story. Despite it's obvious setbacks the story still works very well. It's a shame some of the cast and crew don't look back at this story more fondly on the bulk of the extra's of this DVD. Tom and Lalla are great in this story and K9 is used well. The guest performers are a mixed bunch but they all make it very watchable, even Lewis Fiander as Tryst. Very underrated story, not as bad as it's reputation suggests.

Actually this story includes the Very Interesting CET Machine of Tryst, that both the Doctor and Romana insinuate is similar to the workings of the TARDIS! The concept of the CET, or Continuous Event Transmuter, is that it dematerializes matter and places it onto magnetic crystals which allows those within the machine to keep living and evolving as though they were still in the Universe. It is implied that this is a primitive version of a TARDIS mechanism! Very Interesting...

Well said! I thought the episode was Great and it can definately not be said to be worse than other episodes in any way. So to all of you who haven't watched it yet, watch it, it's good doctor who stuff =D
