I, personally, don't think cutting Stanford's Men's Volleyball was done for money. The reason I say this is because Men's Volleyball has, I think, six scholarships. There are a lot of other sports that could have been cut. The issue is to comply with Title IX, you have to cut men's teams. I don't know what other sports Stanford has, but the soccer team probably has more men's players and scholarships. In order to bring back Men's Volleyball, you either have to bring back more women's teams or cut other men's teams to comply with Title IX. Stanford probably did a cost analysis on which teams to cut, so the chances of them changing their minds are highly unlikely.

Very disappointed with this decision. 😥 They have to make budget cuts because China money is being cut off. Get a source of revenue.
