This was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. There was a couple of times I was laughing, looked up and saw Erik knocked most of the plates to my side and then rushed some shots. There was not much time in between each round. Enough to jam magazines get situated and roll again. I like the idea of going further out with the tree. Have a great and safe New Years everyone.

@ilikepiepls

@@wilfdarr couple of reasons, main reason on the rear scope cap is if I have it rotated to the right I can hit it with my right hand as I work the bolt. It’s not constant but enough to annoy me. The second reason is purely aesthetics.

To make the tree work properly you have to tilt it more towards you. The higher the caliber the more you tilt and it will make it so you only move one target at a time most of the time. I designed mine so it is adjustable on the angle. Fun watching you two shoot. Keep the videos coming.

i greatly enjoyed this so much as a reloader, once rifleman, hunter , designed my own ultra reduced center fire rifle ammunition for special purposes. all inside 42 yards of knowledge and experience. now iam disabled but not helpless. I definitely reload , shoot when iam up to it , hunt and fish when i feel up to it . i can’t shoot like I did 30-40 years ago. also copd I can’t get my breathing setteled down for higher power scopes . cross hair bouncing around every where. but it’s ok 👍. Iam hitting most of the time what I aim at . took a. fine deer maybe a week or two ago. i have known several years the days coming a can’t hunt no more and limited shooting . it’s ok 👍. I’ve been blessed to live a life many men dream of. no complaining its getting older and life . you young men tak care of your self especially your eyes. Nana and papa wishing you well and the best of all things great and wonderful

If you want some other dueling fun, you can find those plastic easter eggs that come apart at dollar stores. Fill them with Tannerite and place them at distances (of course each person has same distance) but one shooter has red eggs, other has green. Have third person place eggs out at distances either from hangers, or on stands(cardboard) and have an unknown distance shooting comp. The eggs will pop without being a big thing, but still visible at any distance. With a field like what you have a competition like this would be pretty fun.

Gotta mention this. When I was 19, the Range owner's grandson and i would do trick shooting on Friday night's if no one else was around. With sights - we both were almost equal. Handguns - we were equal too. So - the challenge was - [ No Sights!] We knocked the sights off 2 rifles and we shot until we had a winner. That night - we were dead equal on NRA 20 yd targets. The last target - was a paper target at 24 yds - laying flat on the sand. One shot each. Doug hit a 6 ring. Mine cut from the 5 ring - across the X and out to the 7 ring. I got the BS award for a week. Thank you! Nice shooting to both of you!

Depending on the THICKNESS of the target plates, (probably a minimum of 3/8” AR500 steel), you can prevent the targets from flopping around by installing the tree post with a significant (approximately 15•) angle. This way, the projectile energy will flip the target plate around to the other side, and it should stay there. *THATS YUR PROBLEM *
