Most Rev. Father, Congrats and prayers on your elevation to the post of MAB. Your policy to adopt the parable of Lost Sheep and extending the hands to hold the deprived are noteworthy, but should not be at the cost the entire Syro-Malabar Community. You should also adopt the parable of the tree snd weeds put to fire when it didn't give fruits. Indiscipline should not be tolerated whoever it may be and action should be taken before much damage occurs. Now we are deprived of the Synod and Pope approved Unified Holy Mass due to the disobedience of a section of parish priests. I hope and pray that you may be able to resolve the issue at the earliest and lead the Church to new heights.

Your first interview is thought-provoking, especially the comments you have made on the overseas faithful that they act like catalyst to preserve the faith and tradition of Nasranis and practice it so that future generations shall imbibe it. Again, your Beatitude's comment on the lost sheep and nobody should be lost, etc, is well meaningful and is Christ's disposition to start with. However, when you deal with sacrilege, heresy, and schism by a group of unionised clergy who stand rebelliously against even the Supreme Pontiff, a line has to be drawn. They have already scandalised the common believers across eparchies of the Church, and taking no action against them is dereliction of an onerous duty bestowed upon you by the Holy Spirit. While it may be true that some parts of the world the Latin church is declining but it is also true that Syro Mal church has thrived only when Malayalees are around...in places where the Malayees are sparse the church is not growing ...however, this is not the case with Latin...Latin church has better integration with the local culture and language.

I think if am not wrong he is not yet become cardinal but only major Arch Bishop of Syro malabar. Major Arch bishop and Cardinal are two ofice. Ofice of Cardinal received from pope, He also may be raised to cardinal and some time may not be, depend on Pope. A cardinal need not be a bishop, even a priest can be rised to cardinal.

While appreciating the contributions of SMC outside Kerala and India to the local Latin Churches, I don't agree with MAB's view that the SMC is safe because it's clinging to the traditions.... What makes a living, loving, and vibrating Church is the love for TRUTH of Jesus and his Gospel. Everything else is parochial, sectarian, and divisive.
