Interested in a prototype if still available! Just found my great granddads pocket instamatic 50 still charged but would happily try one of your own

That 2AA/2AAA battery pack with much longer leads = Sub-zero-weather power pack where the batteries stay warm in your overcoat. (Seen and heard of during the heyday of film and Eastman Kodak for "Professional electronic cameras" such as the Pentax 6X7.) This unique/proprietary battery potential problem led me to the PX28-using Canon 110ED. Kudos to your never-say-die approach to powering Kodak Pocket Instamatic cameras.

I have a Canon 110ED although I wish I had the 110ED20 8-) I think the Kodak Pocket 60 is superior in the lens quality but at this point, I think the challenge of powering up the Instamatic is driving me. My current strategy is to make a mold of the K-battery so I can cast blanks that I can use instead of requiring a battery shell. I just hope my efforts inspire people to use the instamatic. I'll have plenty of battery mods to give away to the people willing to try.

@@NanoBurger I HAD a Canon 110ED, until my older sister borrowed it for an outer island conference. It was left somewhere in Hawaii island's Volcano National Park. When I expressed some dissatisfaction, she blew me off, and I let it slip because I'd gone back to 35mm. (As a result, I NEVER lend anyone photographic equipment of any kind.) What makes this tale more interesting is that it was a complete kit, including the Canon clip-on closeup lens, too. These days, the closest I get to 110's 13X17mm format is Ye Olde Fujifilm X30 or a Canon PowerShot G15. But I can still hear the siren call of film at the 35MMC and Mike Eckman websites.;)

Do you sell these? Or would you sell one?
@NanoBurger2 жыл бұрын
I don't sell them, but I could make one for you...no charge. I'm experimenting with batteries that have been cast in a mold I made. I think I have found a casting material strong enough to handle the modification so I should be able to produce one handily.

@@NanoBurger I'd be willing to pay for one

Thank you so much for the video! I've been working at getting a battery working but I don't have access to the tools needed here. I know you mentioned you weren't selling them, but any chance you would make one for me? I could send you an original K battery to make it from and of course pay the shopping and labor of it. Let me know of that's anything you might be able to do. Thank you!

Cory, I've been experimenting with casting the shape of the K-battery so I've grown beyond needing the empty shell of one. I'm still working out the bugs, but I'd be happy to send you one of my prototypes. Just message me your address and I'll toss it in the mail. Cheers!

@@NanoBurger Morning! Just checking back with you as I didn't receive an email from you. Any chance your offer for a prototype is still on the table? Thank you!
