Hi Nigel , you are right mate it is quite a rare coin weight it is similar to a commonwealth coin but not quite the same border with the dots and the shield is the wrong shape straight at the top not bowed , a top find mate but to be honest i don't recognise the design ? personally i think it's a rare Medieval coin weight 1350-1500 AD , hope you get a result some nice hammereds there as well , good video pal and happy new year .

I think you could be correct on the coin weight. Same size and shape as one I found a couple of miles away with a short cross design on. Could be a local thing? Best wishes out there hunting in 2025 Robbie!
