Special Needs Prom 2018

Friday, May 11 the region seven special-needs prom took place at the Maude Cobb Auditorium in Longview, Texas. Kids from 30 different East Texas schools districts attended the prom from as far as way as Nacogdoches and Lufkin. Between 800 and 1000 people attended the event. The Gladewater national honor Society students also joined in as host and hostess is for the prom goers. They danced with them, talked with them and just had a great time together. As with any students the prom is a highlight of the school year for these kids. Organizers have been preparing for this problem since last August.
