38 people were murdered in a terror attack on a Tunisian beach in June 2015. 30 of them were British tourists. A coroner hearing the inquests into the attack has concluded that they were "unlawfully killed". Sky News has spoken to some of the British holidaymakers who were on the beach that day and who survived the attack.

I remember this at the time and hearing the staff and locals protected people. It takes courage to do that. It's horrific when evil people want to distroy lives but we know there are a lot of good people in Tunisia who are brave and kind 💜

Ancaserban Serban Me neither, I mean, this is the very first I’ve heard of this. Why is that? is it because it happened in a lesser known country to us Americans? Is it because these weren’t “posh” Brits? Is it because we’ve become inured to the news of attacks? My God. I’m so disgusted by us as human beings.

i feel so bad for everyone involved. i went to tunisia and got back on the 3rd january this year and i knew what it was like and how the government didn’t advise people travelling there but we did. it’s a nice place and i stayed 5 minutes up the beach. all the police have guns now and it’s so tight on security just to get into hotels. all the people that work there were saying about how there’s only been tourists since the summer just gone. i heard a loud bang and immediately thought it was gunshots but luckily it wasn’t. my heart goes out to the family’s affected and who have lost a loved one💞

He shot tourists not tunisians, he was aiming at foreigners because they wanted to abolish tourism in our country. They only started to shoot tunisians in late 2015 to early 2016.

Tunisia was a stop for the Viking Orion and we saw the Bardo Museum and the town. It was peaceful then, but we had armed Police escorts.

There are too many following that books verses to the letter - it's horrific. This terror attack is often forgotten in the UK as it happened abroad - but it should be remembered.

These were two different attacks. One was in a museum and the other on a beach. On 18 March 2015, two militants attacked the Bardo National Museum in the Tunisian capital city of Tunis, and took hostages. The beach attack was June 26, 2015.

The Tunisian police and security officers could have saved many lives but were hiding as found by the inquiry. Any bravery was by ordinary people, both hotel staff and guests and not the police and security officers, who hid until most of the killing was done. Guards on the beach armed with Steyr assault rifles did not intervene and they were there at the very beginning.

I went to Egypt & toured the entire country which was very dangerous at the time. I did it because there are temples & museums there that I have always wanted to see that can not be seen anywhere else in the world. Why go to a beach vacation anywhere dangerous? The world is covered in safe beaches.
