SPECIALIST testing CERAVE MOISTURIZING LOTION&CREAM for face: USA VS EU Version, How to use, Review
Hi guys! Welcome back to my channel! In today's video, I finally reviewed the CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion and Moisturizing Cream. I have been testing them since the summer and I finally have a formed opinion on them. When researching the products I noticed the USA version and the European version of these products were not exactly the same so I compared them and explained the differences in the video. As always I went through the claims, ingredients, effect on the skin, demo application, and in the end, I gave you my final opinion on both products! Thanks for watching! I am in the USA and have very dry skin, so I use the Cerave cream more often as well as other brands. Cerave doesn’t feel as immediately cushy and moisturizing and it absorbs quicker bc it has “multivesicular emulsion” ceramides that slowly release over time. So it may feel satin-like and matte upon first application but I feel like my skin feels even softer a couple hours later - so I use it more for the day. I have other creams that are a bit more glowy/sticky and take forever to sink in and I reserve those for night time.

I couldn’t have described it any better myself. At first I was like is this doing anything !!! But it does . I have a million very thick “barrier help” creams and my face feels more moisturized in the end with the Cerve. I also feel like all the other ones are causing me closed comedones

I am from EU. I wonder whether Cerave hydrating cleanser has different versions as I now find it stripping... maybe they have changed the ingredient list? Or is it just my skin?

I realized the USA version of the moisturizing cream is much more sturdy clumpy and thicker than the eu version, also the eu one is a bit fluidly

I have both cerave cream us and eu. The sturdy and the clumpy one is eu version. The liquidy one is us

Uhh... I'm not sure how you framed "no parabens" is a good thing lol. We have enough fearmongering around that ingredient already, it's... really kind of iffy to hear it from a pharmacist. (No shade, it's just gotten demonised enough and I've personally always found that paraben-preserved products give me less trouble than all the others.)

I actually didn't state my opinion on parabens in this video. "Which is great" was reffering to "if you are against parabens". 🙂

The cerave products in the US have worked for me for 6 years. I’ve moved to London and brought with me just in case but I’ve recently switched to the UK formulas of the”exact same” products and I now have CYSTIC acne all over my face. Painful, bright red, and swollen for the first time in years. Their website claims it’s the exact same but I haven’t changed anything about my routine other than switching to the UK versions so it’s the only conclusion that the UK versions are absolute dogshit. For anyone wondering about them, it’s not worth your money
