Cool. When you buy a bike, from factory.. this comes in low or high position?
@JustinVelo5 жыл бұрын
Should come out of the box in the low position.

Thankyou! I was trying to work this out myself and failing. I've just switched mine to the higher position.

thank you for the video, this video is truly educational! Is there a way to verify if the shock is set at low/high without physically removing the shock? thank you for your guidance.

Thanks for stopping by! I haven’t tried to flip the chip while still on the bike. I’ll have to give it a look and get back to you.

@@JustinVelo I just flip the chip. Basically if the metal is showing on top, then the setting is on high

Hi, thanks for the video. I am curious if there is anyway to visually see that the chips are in the low or high settings? I could measure the bb height, but just by looking at the chips, is it detectable? Thanks!

You can tell if you know what you are looking for, but it's not obvious. Download the bike user manual from Spesh and there are some diagrams in there (page 16)... I had the same problem - didn't realise I was in LOW until I had a pedal strike crash, and checked. media.specialized.com/support/collateral/0000139644.pdf

@@captainianr the manual only shows when the flip chips are removed.

never grab the bike by holding the inner tube of the seatpost
