I have a 2018 S-Works SL6 Utralight 14.8 lbs 😮💨 Thing is a beast! Love it! I am one of the small percentage of people that Prefer rim brakes to disc brakes. I really hope they bring them back in the future, doesn’t get much better than some Cane Creek eeBrakes

I have to say I like my SL7 s-works tarmac better than my older S-works SL6..I find it more nimble, faster, and lighter..I think we can all agree that we hate the price of the SL7...lol..I brought the SL7 s-works frame discounted(deadstock) thru my friends shops in NY and built in up better than the company..if you have the s-works SL6 then it's really no need to go to the SL7..but if you have that extra money burning your pockets then go for the SL7 s-works you wont be disappointed..add some light carbon wheels, GP5000 tires, with a 12speed di2 drive train and you're set...lol..both bikes are amazing..it all comes down to preference and modifications.

I love the look of the Sl6 and that "camo" colour paint scheme is amazing.....One quick question for you. I am struggling if I should go with a 1x. I live in Canada, and some of my rides are fairly hilly - some have 13-15% climb. what are your thoughts? Keep up the great work, very envious of your bike collection.

Im debating going to the force 1x as well. My current sl6 with the stock dura ace group has the "same" low gear as the force at 34 gear inches. It does lose a bit of top end high gear with a 123 v. 126 gear inches. Realistically im not going 70kph in the 11 tooth that often and even when I am its usually not sustained for longer the 2-300m.
@holmesroach4 жыл бұрын
@@noahantoniuk6887 dont do it. Those climbs are significant leaving a 1x very notchy to cover the spectrum of gears needed. My opinion -- look at the pro peloton too. Go 2x without the 11 on the cassette plus chain cross drag is big on these for wear

Next time I go deer hunting I'll take that paint scheme with me. 🤢 My own opinion, of course! 😜

The industry has lost their mind.. disc is so horrible. So many flaws.. its heavier too.. smh Rim for road. Disc for dirt.

The SL7 IS nowhere near 15 lbs. It's closer to 16.5-17 in it's lightest configuration. Disc and Electronic shifting only is heavy compared to a mechanical and rim brake SL6. I've only seen 1 small frame with SRAM Red that was under 16. Lots of SL6s are under 15.

@vomErsten3 жыл бұрын
Keep the SL6, that sort of bike is a rare breed in 2021 where bikes like the SL7 Pro are a dime a dozen and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future; you can get one any time. Also it's a Sagan.

@@justaletdownI bought a s_works SL6 with rim brakes as well. After 2 months, I am absolutely IN LOVE ! ❤ My other bike with disc brakes, ultegra di2, powermeters, etc (a modern bike in summary) is now listed. The ride quality, stability, light weight, climbing and overall performance of the SL6 is unreacheable !

The sl7 is faster, as it was designed to be.
@parenthlete3 жыл бұрын
How much faster? Would like to see some independent wind tunnel test results - it’s also less stuff where it matters - the frame and stuffer where it doesnt , the seatpost …. So would like to see how much of a gain the aero changes actually make
@ITsupportian Жыл бұрын
@@parenthletehe lies, sl6 will outclimb sl7 due to lighter wheels. And less wattage on flat.. they tested rim versus disc... rim still goes faster. Maybe in the future... they will figure out something

@antoinemaxima6036 just say you’re brainwashed by the marketing, it’s okay.

SL6 Rim brake is an actual performance road bike. The SL7 is a cruiser for the fat dentists.
