What an absolute beauty and time capsule. What's nice about these 1987-1989 Brougham is that they have the pillar mounted front seat belts, instead of the door mounted belts on the later 1990-1992 models.
@sachemrock4 жыл бұрын
Very good point, I wouldn’t even touch the years with the door mounted belts. They are hideous and typical of GM cost cutting and poor engineering.

My first car at age 14 was a 1983 Fleetwood Brougham with very similar color combination! My 83 was a roach, but I was 14 and had a Cadillac! I'm now the proud owner of a 1990 Brougham d' Elegance 5.7V8. I absolutely love these Cadillacs! The baby FWD Fleetwoods are great cars as well! I also have a loaded 1991 Fleetwood Coupe.

My first car was a 1989 Cadillac Brougham that my grandparents gave me. I remember how many of my friends I could get into that car. And I had friends that used to sneak into the movie theater we put them in the trunk and they had plenty of room to get in and they never were the wiser that I had bodies LOL in the trunk. And with that car I rear-ended a Toyota and the woman's car was completely totaled and the Cadillac had no damage whatsoever I hit her at 30 miles per hour because I was playing with the radio. That car was a tank and I loved it

I know this is an older video but I've only recently discovered your site. I bought an 88 Brougham in 05 with 57k miles, Academy gray with burgundy cloth interior from the original owner's daughter. I paid $3500. It too had Royal Seal tires. Cannot say if they were original with the miles I bought it. Nice car, traded in 08 for a 99 Eldorado. I do miss it though. Going back to more videos. ...this is a lovely example of an '88 Brougham...and the Light Beechwood puts you in mind of caramel apples....yummmm... ...it isn't exactly stock, but I agree that the original '88 grille was rather homely...and the headliner will eventually need some attention; but having experienced how fastidious Paul is about his Weather-tec floor mats, you know that he has taken great care...my only question is, are you including a matching set of towels to protect those original Cadillac mats?? Yes. This has been repainted on the outside. You see the difference to the door openings - and the poor panel gaps. Well, this gaps where back in time a standard on all GM products - but especially the bonnet and front-end is bad fitted to the body. So it is repainted. Or had an accident. Is the new paint still in thermoplast or something easier maintainable repainted?
@jamesgreg55424 жыл бұрын
If you look carefully around the front and rear door handles, it appears to be taped off and paint is apparent (to my eye, anyway). The front passenger fender appears to be "wavey" but in any case, it just doesn't really stand up to creful scrutiny. Why sell after such a short ownership and that rear bumper. THAT TOP! There aren't any miles on the thing! The "soft filler pnels" don't look like they match, either. HEY! Personally, I think the car is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!! For those who hate the color... YOU'RE CRAZY!!!!!! IT'S STUNNING!!! And that upholstery. GOD, it's GORGEOUS!!!
