I was woken up by these lights last night. I came home from work, after sundown and straight away went to sleep. Around Midnight I was woken up by this bright green light, it shine my room green. I went outside and saw the auroras overhead from where I was standing. Its rare because I live on the 47th parallel and seeing them from the horizon is common but overhead is rare.

I live in a city called Luleå in the north of Sweden and I've seen northen lights. It's not so often here but yesterday I saw it for the first time and it was really cool. When you watch videos like these and the movement of the lights it almost feels like in a game or a movie, and like it's photoshoped... But it's not. It's really cool and you feel like you're in a dreamworld.

just becouse ligths are very low. It's impossible to film auroras with a common videocam. Photos require high exposure time (10 sec. approx). Sometimes you can see the colour of northern lights only in your photo and not looking up at the sky (it depends how the activity is strong)
