You can't beat it Douglas, though I'd guess it isn't to the taste of everyone but I love walking the moor and stopping off here and there for a cast.

The drone shots are amazing!

Glad you liked them, with wind and rain I can't fly the drone very often but I do think it adds a little bit to the videos.

Thank you Charley, glad you enjoy them. I just put together two "musical compilations" for a bit of a laugh and thought to post them on the channel. Someone should write a book about the characters who fished these waters and the stories surrounding them.

Glad you liked them Fred, they were just stuck together for a bit of fun really and I thought just to post the two of them. To be honest they might be useful for a visitor to see what is available so if anyone has booked they might give some encouragement

Thank you, I've been away for a while so am a bit late in getting back to reply. With such fantastic places to fish it is easy to get used to it and not to fully appreciate the wonderful fishing and scenery and so on.

Coming uP to Lewis end of June what’s the best fly or nymphs to uses on the gress at this time of year
@caorach3354 Жыл бұрын
Gress is a sea trout/salmon river so traditional wet flies are the usual patterns with the Donegal Blue and the Soldier Palmer being pretty much a standard cast for just about everyone. I would also go with a Silver Stoat on a small double. If you are looking flies for Gress then don't go past John Maclean as he ties some fantastic flies that work well on Lewis and he fishes all the lochs and rivers: facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057469959391 June is quite early for Gress but sometimes the larger sea trout can sneak in at that time of year.

No, stay away, I want it all to myself :-) I just stuck two little videos together just for some fun but if they offer visitors some encouragement that is a good thing as well.
