The Pokemon Unite spectator mode is something I love to use, and today we spectate a Pokemon Unite ranked match featuring the Top Ranked number one team from October 7th 2021.

Thank you so much for checking out the Top-Ranked players/team. As the commentary mentions, we've done every Spectator Mode video so far on Switch so there's usually no blurry side borders... this was an exception and won't be the rule, to record via Mobile. btw, if you're looking for a good "up next" commentary to follow this one, why not check out this match that came down to the literal last ten seconds? kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2i6YmBueNRqiZo

You should start a new spectator series where instead of looking at the top ranked win rate players you individually spectate specific players and showcase their unite skills and play making ability. I'd love to be showcased in that regard being a top 100 zard player myself.

Just something to mention for 2:20, Lucario had a good reaction for being trapped. Knowing he would die in a 2v1 ran away from his goal to extend the time it takes for the enemy team to score. Honestly one of the harder plays to make as a lone wolf, the first thing you think of when in danger is run to safety. Also nice voicing over, this is the kind of spectating I could get used to!

What I love about this MOBA is that being the top ranked isn't about having the most skill as an individual but instead all about team coordination. Playing mostly solo it's rare that the stars align and you get a coordinated team but when you do, you can overcome a skill gap if the other team fails to work together in the same way.

@@sukritgarg3175 Thanks; I've done this before on two other channels. One has 194k subs and the other is a Pokemon GO channel with about 25k, and each usually spring-boarded with a video that hit the rip. You usually don't want to box yourself into *ONE* type of content (aka, one type of video...like here, will people who are subbing on this video actually watch if I don't post content about the number one team? We'll see!), but rather, subscribe across a broad range of content. I know this now, because that channel with 194k subs died in 2020, since the audience had moved on and grown out of the one type of content they subbed for. Sorry for over-explaining...allow me to just say "Thanks" and let's celebrate!

I definitely have been trying to spectate Machamp, but the last one I recorded, I ended up seeing the other team were bots :( It was actually the hardest match ever to tell, but I found out mid-commentary recording, sadly :( We will work on getting it, but it'll take longer just because "Top-Ranked Trainers" in the game often just pick the same Pokemon over and over: Lucario, Greninja, Zeraora, Sylveon recently.. :(

Thank you; I *do* need to prepare you for a long wall of text in response to your question though...I'll try to be brief: At a basic level, I'd just ask you to evaluate what kind of player you are in MOBAs and the like...are you a support/healer? Because then you'd obviously want to investigate Eldegoss. If you're supportive but want some beefyness and melee range, that's Wigglytuff (who some people are *monsters* with, btw). If you'd rather align with more of that "mage" ranged attacker with self-buffs, maybe Sylveon would be your pick! The game also lets you practice with each one of them, even if you haven't obtained the Pokemon, so that might be another avenue to try! My channel also is building out "focused spectator commentaries" on every Pokemon individually at least once, though from your list we haven't covered Eldegoss yet. I can give you the link to Wigglytuff - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJjRdamqiLKZnbs and Sylveon - kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2WnlKCqnL-la7s

@@marwansejari2620 Your assessment is true, although if you really do like Talon and Greninja, keep in mind that there are high-ranking people who will play those characters and they can just be unstoppable at times... I don't know what your rank/skill is, but I can tell you no matter how good or bad I am, I don't think I personally will *ever* be able to do what those types of players do! hahaha. Unfortunately Sylveon is the most expensive out of those we discussed, but even after the nerf, I'm hearing it's still pretty great. Good pick!

I think Pokémon unite is in a good place right now, very fast pace game and pure action, but i think the balance is still lacking. High rank groups rarely play other comps it's the same slyveon, venasaur, lucario comp plus a tank and a supp, that is likely blastoise and snorlax and for supps mr mime and eldegross. P.S. solo queue is already adopting this also, the team that picks this comp is likely to win

The part of this that I fully agree with is how they've chosen so many of the same Pokemon, it gets to the point where people on my channel request to see a Top-Ranked Machamp, Slowbro, etc., but I basically can never find those Pokemon in Spectator Mode because everyone all plays the same: Lucario, Greninja, Sylveon recently, etc... I don't know that they'll do a big re-balancing that can make enough difference in this, although we saw Talonflame rise up after the Mobile Release patch. They'll definitely add more Pokemon of course :D

Blastoise does damage Snorlax is good for playing with a team he sucks by himself later on because he doesn't output any damage relies heavily in team being able to clean up
@PokemonMasterKendo
@PokemonMasterKendo 3 жыл бұрын
That's definitely an interesting question, since it can be answered in super long ways, and multiple different ways. The idea is that, while some characters seem to often be declared as inherently better than others, there's definitely no substitute for someone who is just an amazing player at the game and/or amazing player with the character they're commanding. The reply given before I was able to get to it, by Roberto Guzman, is a good point though, regarding Blastoise's abilities for overall damage output. Snorlax is pretty damn tanky and disruptive with Heavy Slam though, so each will have their advantages and disadvantages

It's something that not even *all* Masters-level teams will do, and funny enough, some players don't even *know* about sending a Lucario up top solo because I got into a duo-queue matchup where my friend (Lucario) went top solo and we agreed I should go down, but then our allies kept relentlessly sending in-game signal pings on me and the top lane...telling me to go up top. So it's hopefully a strategy that will become more mainstream and we won't run into skepticism right off the bat for it.

I thought pretty much everyone ran extreme speed on lucario? Surprised to see them pick power up punch. Can anyone explain why that is.
@actpianocover6329
@actpianocover6329 3 жыл бұрын
First of all, around 60% of player base actually prefer power up punch + bone rush combo, and extreme speed + bone rush at around 20%. I think it happens because the meta is very burst heavy lately. Extreme speed only gives you dashes that boost the normal attack damage (please differ it with its "special" boosted attack that knocks enemy) which is very insignificant. And also, if you miss the dash, basically you only got 1 dash. Power up punch, although it is a guarantee 1 time use, not only it also provides dash, but also deals more damage and makes its basic attack a boosted attack (that knocks enemy). The cooldown is not that high and can be reduced everytime you hit a skill so you can kinda spam it as well (compared to extreme speed that gives you 9s cooldown after a miss). Not to mention as well, the unite moves also boost the damage of power up punch so there's a little added bonus right there. Edit: just making some corrections after rereading the skills so there is no misinformation

@@actpianocover6329 I remember Lutano (The Lucario in the video) being one of the first Extreme Speed advocates I came across. But he specifically mentioned on stream that Extreme Speed was only better against Melee heavy comps, whilst Power-Up Punch is better against squishier ranged heavy comps, which feels like most of Unite right now to be honest. But Power-Up punch can almost be as spammable as Extreme Speed if you know what you're doing, Power-Up Punch, Bone Rush, (It's multiple hits resetting Power-Up Punch) Power-Up Punch, grab the bone for another Reset, and now you've successful used 3 Power-Up Punches in one teamfight in short succession. Against a melee heavy comp, team members tend to be more heavily clumped together so you hit multiple targets at once with each Extreme Speed, so you deal a ton of damage.
