Robbie Krieger is a very underrated guitar player. He blended jazz and rock in a very unique and instantly recognizable way.
@Djozer5 жыл бұрын
Ray was responsible for adding the Jazz element. Robbie's guitar playing is Flamenco influenced. So more classical. The original version was a bit different before Ray and Jim got a hold of it. The base chords and song structure remained, but the Jazz was definitely from Ray. After all, Ray was a keyboardist for his brother's jazz band before he hooked up with Jim to create The Doors.

Every so often, a force brings together a certain group of talented musicians, and they make magic. The Doors, The Beatles, The Stones, The Who, to name but a few. Ray Manzarek by himself was incredible. Robby is underrated as a guitarist. Together with John and Jim, they made a timeless catalogue of amazing, soul grabbing songs that will never age and will sound forever relevant. There's a mystical quality to them that is complex in its simplicity.

We all know how he lived, heavy drinking ,& drugs,& was a very bad boy! I too, went to Pere Lachaise, in Paris, when he died. That's where they say he's buried, but?? And for whatever reasons didn't want anything to do with his family. Such a very bad boy of always being in trouble. God made him, , take care of him, forgive him. Hope he is happy in a better place they say there is in the after life. And, his band mate, Ray Manzerek,( don't know if spelled the last name right). Thr Doors will never die, I'll always love there music. God bless you guys, & thanks for the music you gave us, I love it. And rest in peace, guys. I'll always ❤ & remember you.
