Theres so much to like about this movie apart from the two leading characters .Its about breaking down the fences of racism .At times it made me angry but it was good to see the fences fall apart as they began to feel some respect for each other .The ending was excellent .I look forward to watching it again .Hope you all enjoyed it too .

The greatest actor ever Ernest Borgnine and the best ever multi talented entertainer Sammy Davis Jr. make this a true classic.

This film was made at a time when racial issues were being opened in film and TV. It says a lot about Ernest Borgnine that he starred in this film. Sammy Davis Jr. was such a huge talent! He was an amazing guest star in an old episode of "The Rifleman". Well worth finding if it is available.

Back in the 50s and 60s when Westerns were at their zenith, Arvo Ojala was the man Hollywood went to teach actors how to handle a pistol, do a fast draw. He taught just about every famous cowboy lead actor that you can think of. Ironically, it's Ojala that was shot each week by Matt Dillon in the opening of GUNSMOKE. In an interview Ojala was asked who was the best student he ever instructed, without hesitation he replied Sammy Davis Jr., that Davis was a natural at the fast draw and trick shooting. I can recall a couple of episodes of THE RIFLEMAN where Davis demonstrated his ability and he was pretty awesome. I also read where he kept a holstered pair of Colts in his dressing room in Vegas and on tour, doing tricks as a way of concentrating and to entertain guests.

The place I worked for in the 90s sold Ernie a 42 ft provost bus R.V . He didnt get 2 blocks and ran a stop sign down the side of it 🤣 I was in charged of repairing it. Mr Borgnine always had a big smile on his face. One of the ledgends.

I always liked Earnest Borgnine, for a big man he rode a horse pretty good. Even though his name was changed, he was very proud of his Italian heritage. His name was Borgnino. He sure led a long and prosperous life, I believe he was past his 95th birthday!!
