For me Brosnan is the perfect Bond, he has the charms, the wit, the steely looks, the aggression, the whole package. Or it's because his movies were closer to my young age. Nevertheless after countless re-watches of the whole saga, I still believe he's the best.
@T8-TR4 жыл бұрын
Craig is the best Bond according to the books, iirc, but Brosnan will always be my Bond because he's the more idealized, Kingsman-esque Bond. A secret agent who's both cool and competent, but all while still being flawed. And he's got some bitchin' one-liners, too. I'm curious to see who gets cast after Craig's done with Bond. It's a pipedream, since he's got so many projects in the works now, but I've wanted Henry Cavill as Bond ever since I saw the Man from UNCLE. He's a great actor, capable of getting totally invested in all his roles (not in the Jared Leto method acting way, but in a healthy "I'm a huge fan!" sorta way), and he (in UNCLE) ticks all my ideal Bond boxes: suave, witty, intimidating presence without outwardly projecting it, and the dude can clearly do action scenes.
@T8-TR4 жыл бұрын
@@unlimitedayoproduction2452 Maybe it was past my time so it didn't have the hype or the nostalgia to back it up, but when I watched the older Bonds, they just seemed... idk, dated, I guess? Not to mention that the car will now be definitely impounded by police, who will discover various military-grade gadgets inside and link it to the shootout in the building it fell off from. Brosnan is still the second best Bond after Sean Connery. I love that big grin on his face. I love how he's enjoying this whole thing
@AverageKingBooEnjoyer8 ай бұрын
In fact, I’d argue Brosnan is better than Connery, as he’s able to imitate Connery’s suave nature, along with the charm of Roger Moore, and the darker tone of Timothy Dalton. Connery might be objectively better, but I will always love Brosnan more.

@@LukeLovesRose Tomorrow Never Dies is actually my favorite entry in the franchise, more so than GoldenEye, Casino Royale, and even Goldfinger. Die Another Day is crappy, but I think The World Is Not Enough is another good film that gets highly underrated. But the highlight of Brosnan’s career for me will always be this film, it’s not just my favorite all-time film in the Bond franchise, it’s my favorite all-time film period. And I doubt that ever changes.

Not disrespect to Daniel Craig, but to me, Pierce Brosnan was a better Bond. He was cool and calm, and yet he could take you down with his bare hands. I remember watching these movies as a kid and I wanted to be like Pierce Brosnan. Love these movies and the 007

And all the Gadgets on that car are functional in some way! (It’s still drivable too!) The saw actually extends and spins, the sunroof is also fully functional (mind you, the rockets are not actually explosive, but I think simple pyrotechnics), even the spikes hidden behind the rear bumper can be dropped! It of course cannot be driven from a phone, but the stunt driver had to be reclined as to not be seen, so the car literally has a backseat driver just like in the film. That is attention to detail!

I was born in 1998 during the Brosnan era of Bond and Tomorrow Never Dies was my first Bond movie I've watched. I'm forever thankful my parents bought the VHS so I can watch it at home and subsequently purchased the DVD, then later on the 50th anniversary blu ray collection of James Bond. It's a very fun action movie, pierce Brosnan is a very solid James Bond actor. The car chase hooked me in and I just found it very intriguing how they predicted the future with a gadget that can control your car, sort of like a Portable PSP, extremely underrated gameboy console. BMW's aren't necessarily the most Bond-ian vehicles out there, but they're certainly very efficient in speed, handling and performance. The gadgets are very good. Very fun time.
