Definitely a very good tip. I've learned the hard to be gentle with the ends of antenna wires. Receiver's aren't cheap.

Wow didn't even know you can replace the antenna..... Now I've never broke any as Most of my rigs are short course and felony so all inside... But I've my eyes on the Typhon and notorious etc.... A great vid this is fantastic news and simple to do brilliant Earl thank you 😊

I sometimes tape them but water can still get in threw the areas glued coming off around the wheels so venting and taping the holes are the best way I found to make them last..the foams degrade over time anyways

You can repair a 2.4GHz antenna, by stripping the outer ~31.5mm(Or 31.23mm to be precise) shielding/grounding off.

You can also use any antenna and just trim the exposed wire to a certain length all antennas are Not the same size some are 34mm some is are 30 some are 27 you just need to find out online or hope you didn't destroy the end and just measure that exposed area. You can trim you antenna to any length you just need that exposed area to be a certain length no shorter no longer.
